Deeply moved at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept there.

Weeping with joy, he embraced Benjamin, and Benjamin did the same.Then Joseph kissed each of his brothers and wept over them, and after that they began talking freely with him.

God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus.

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?

When Jesus saw her weeping and saw the other people wailing with her, a deep anger welled up within him, and he was deeply troubled.“ Where have you put him?” he asked them. They told him,“ Lord, come and see.”Then Jesus wept.The people who were standing nearby said,“ See how much he loved him!”But some said,“ This man healed a blind man. Couldn’t he have kept Lazarus from dying?”Jesus was still angry as he arrived at the tomb, a cave with a stone rolled across its entrance.

Then the woman who was the real mother of the living child, and who loved him very much, cried out,“ Oh no, my lord! Give her the child— please do not kill him!” But the other woman said,“ All right, he will be neither yours nor mine; divide him between us!”

“ Oh, how can I give you up, Israel? How can I let you go? How can I destroy you like Admah or demolish you like Zeboiim? My heart is torn within me, and my compassion overflows.

Then he broke down and wept. He wept so loudly the Egyptians could hear him, and word of it quickly carried to Pharaoh’s palace.

I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again.

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

If someone has enough money to live well and sees a brother or sister in need but shows no compassion— how can God’s love be in that person?

They all cried as they embraced and kissed him good bye.

Watch out! Remember the three years I was with you— my constant watch and care over you night and day, and my many tears for you.

Joseph prepared his chariot and traveled to Goshen to meet his father, Jacob. When Joseph arrived, he embraced his father and wept, holding him for a long time.

I have done the Lord’s work humbly and with many tears. I have endured the trials that came to me from the plots of the Jews.
