永恆主發神諭說：以法蓮是我的寶貝兒子麼？是個可喜悅的孩子麼？因為我每逢說了話譴責他，我總還是依依懷念着他。我的心腸熱戀着他；我一定要憐憫他。

於是約瑟伏在他弟弟便雅憫的脖子上哭；便雅憫也伏在約瑟的脖子上哭。他又和眾弟兄親嘴，伏在他們身上哭；隨後他弟兄們就和他說話。

上帝給我作證，我是怎樣以基督耶穌的熱心腸切慕着你們眾人的。

所以你們在基督裏若有任何鼓勵、或愛心的激發，靈裏若有任何團契、或慈悲心腸和憐憫，

那時耶穌看見她哭，又看見跟她一同來的猶太人也哭，心靈上就悲憤歎息，大為震盪，說：『你們把他安放在哪裏？』她們對耶穌說：『主啊，來看。』耶穌流淚哭了。於是猶太人說：『你看，他多麼愛他呀！』其中有人說：『這個人、開了瞎子眼睛的、豈不能叫這人也不死麼？』於是耶穌心裏又悲憤歎息，來到墳墓前。那墳墓是個洞，有塊石頭擋住。

兒子活着的那婦人、因為愛兒子的心腸火熱、就對王說：『哦，我主上啊，將那活的孩子給她吧；千萬不可殺死他。』那婦人說：『這孩子也不歸我，也不歸你；將他劈了吧。』

以法蓮哪，我怎能捨棄你啊！以色列啊，我怎能把你交出啊！我怎能使你如押瑪！使你如洗扁哪！我的心在我裏面翻轉着，我憐愛之情一直熱起來。

他就放聲大哭；埃及人聽見了；法老一家也聽見了。

黑夜白日地惦念着；一想起你所流的眼淚，我就切慕要見你，好讓我滿有喜樂。

所以你們被上帝揀選的人、聖別而蒙愛的、你們要穿上憐憫的心腸、和慈惠、謙卑、柔和、恆忍。

凡有人有世上養生之資，見他弟兄有缺乏，卻向他關閉着憐憫的心腸，愛上帝的心怎能存在他裏面呢？

眾人的哀哭好傷心；他們伏在保羅的脖子上，熱切地和他親嘴；

所以你們要儆醒，記得我三年之久、晝夜不停地流淚勸戒你們每一個人。

約瑟套上了車，上歌珊去迎接他父親以色列；謁見他，伏在他脖子上，在他脖子上直哭。

怎樣以十二分的謙卑做主的僕人，常常流淚、忍受試煉；這些試煉是因猶太人的計謀而臨到我的。
