Deeply moved at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept there.

約瑟轉身退去，哭了一場，又回來對他們說話，就從他們中間挑出西緬來，在他們眼前把他捆綁。

耶和華說：以法蓮是我的愛子嗎？是可喜悅的孩子嗎？我每逢責備他，仍深顧念他；所以我的心腸戀慕他；我必要憐憫他。

於是約瑟伏在他兄弟便雅憫的頸項上哭，便雅憫也在他的頸項上哭。他又與眾弟兄親嘴，抱着他們哭，隨後他弟兄們就和他說話。

我體會基督耶穌的心腸，切切地想念你們眾人；這是神可以給我作見證的。

所以，在基督裏若有甚麼勸勉，愛心有甚麼安慰，聖靈有甚麼交通，心中有甚麼慈悲憐憫，

耶穌看見她哭，並看見與她同來的猶太人也哭，就心裏悲歎，又甚憂愁，便說：「你們把他安放在哪裏？」他們回答說：「請主來看。」耶穌哭了。猶太人就說：「你看他愛這人是何等懇切。」其中有人說：「他既然開了瞎子的眼睛，豈不能叫這人不死嗎？」耶穌又心裏悲歎，來到墳墓前；那墳墓是個洞，有一塊石頭擋着。

活孩子的母親為自己的孩子心裏急痛，就說：「求我主將活孩子給那婦人吧，萬不可殺他！」那婦人說：「這孩子也不歸我，也不歸你，把他劈了吧！」

以法蓮哪，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你如押瑪？怎能使你如洗扁？我回心轉意，我的憐愛大大發動。

他就放聲大哭；埃及人和法老家中的人都聽見了。

記念你的眼淚，晝夜切切地想要見你，好叫我滿心快樂。

所以，你們既是神的選民，聖潔蒙愛的人，就要存憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔、忍耐的心。

凡有世上財物的，看見弟兄窮乏，卻塞住憐恤的心，愛神的心怎能存在他裏面呢？

眾人痛哭，抱着保羅的頸項，和他親嘴。

所以你們應當警醒，記念我三年之久晝夜不住地流淚、勸戒你們各人。

約瑟套車往歌珊去，迎接他父親以色列，及至見了面，就伏在父親的頸項上，哭了許久。

服事主，凡事謙卑，眼中流淚，又因猶太人的謀害，經歷試煉。
