約瑟聽後轉身出去哭了，然後又回來跟他們談話，從他們中間選了西緬，當著他們的面把西緬捆綁起來。

耶和華說：「以法蓮不是我的愛子嗎？他不是我喜悅的孩子嗎？我雖然常常責備他，但仍然惦記著他。我深深地想念他，我必憐憫他。

約瑟和弟弟便雅憫抱頭痛哭，然後又親吻其他弟兄，抱著他們痛哭，弟兄們跟他交談起來。

上帝可以作證，我是怎樣以基督耶穌的慈愛之心想念你們。

所以，如果你們在基督裡受到鼓勵，得到愛的安慰，與聖靈相通，有慈悲和憐憫之心，

耶穌看見她和陪她來的猶太人都在哭，心中感動，十分難過，便問：「你們把他葬在哪裡了？」他們答道：「主啊，你來看。」耶穌哭了。猶太人說：「你看！祂多麼愛拉撒路啊！」其中也有人說：「祂既然能醫好瞎眼的人，難道不能叫這個人不死嗎？」耶穌又十分感動地來到墳墓前。那墳墓是個洞，洞口堵著一塊大石頭。

活孩子的母親心疼自己的孩子，就說：「我主啊，把孩子給她吧，千萬不要殺他！」但另一個女人卻說：「孩子不歸我，也不歸你，把他劈開吧！」

以法蓮啊，我怎能捨棄你？以色列啊，我怎能棄絕你？我怎能使你的下場如押瑪？我怎能對待你如對待洗扁？我的心意改變，我滿懷憐愛。

約瑟放聲大哭，埃及人聽見了他的哭聲，法老家也聽到了這個消息。

每逢想起你流淚的情形，我就渴望見你，好使我的心充滿喜樂。

所以，你們既然是上帝所揀選的，是聖潔、蒙愛的人，就要心存憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔和忍耐。

如果一個豐衣足食的人看見貧窮的弟兄姊妹，卻毫無憐憫之心，怎能說他愛上帝呢？

眾人都哭了，抱著保羅與他親吻，

所以你們一定要警醒，牢記這三年來我怎樣晝夜不住地流著淚勸誡你們。

約瑟備好車前去迎接父親以色列。父子重逢，約瑟抱住父親哭了很久。

我含著眼淚謙卑地事奉主，又遭到猶太人的迫害，歷盡艱辛。
