But at the place where we stopped for the night we opened our sacks and each of us found his silver— the exact weight— in the mouth of his sack. So we have brought it back with us.

至憩息所、一人啟囊、以粟飼驢、見金在囊口。告兄弟曰、人反我金、猶在於囊。眾心危懼、相告曰、上帝之待我如此、曷故。○歸迦南地見父、以其事告之、曰、國宰叱我、以我為偵者。我曰、我儕素篤實、非偵者。昆弟十有二人、一父所生、一弟已亡、季者偕父於迦南。國宰謂我曰、若爾果篤實、有一策可施、爾兄弟中必留一人於此、其餘載粟、以救爾家之急。後攜季者至、則知爾誠篤實非偵者也、我乃反爾兄弟、爾可貿易於國。遂傾其囊、各人所緘之金具在、父子見之皆懼。

勿以惡報惡、眾所善者、則務之、

遂取禮物、挈前金倍其數、偕便雅憫詣埃及、立約瑟前。

勿負人、惟愛人、愛人者、盡律法、

請爾為我祈禱、我自知良心素具、凡事欲為善、
