When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

約瑟吩咐管家的說：『把糧食裝滿這些人的布袋，儘他們所能帶的；又把各人的銀子放在各人的布袋口；

他們就走近做約瑟管家的那人，在屋門口和他說話，

以撒就給他們設擺宴席，他們便喫喝。

她宰了牲口，調和了美酒，擺設了筵席，

又在山上宰獻祭牲，請了自己的族弟兄來喫飯：他們喫了飯，便在山上過夜。

而我得將我的食物和水、跟我為剪羊毛的人所屠宰的牲畜的肉、給不知道從哪裏來的人麼？』

約瑟就在他主人面前蒙恩，伺候他主人；他主人並且派他管理他的家，把一切所有的都交在他手裏。自從主人派約瑟管理他的家和他一切所有的，永恆主就因約瑟的緣故賜福與那埃及人的家；凡他一切所有的，無論是在家裏的、是在田裏的、都蒙永恆主賜福。

亞伯拉罕對他的僕人、他家中的老者、那管理他所有的一切的、說：『請把手放在我的大腿下。我要叫你指着永恆主、天之上帝、地之上帝、來起誓，不要從迦南人、就是我住在他們中間的迦南人中為我兒子娶妻。你可要往我本地、我親族那裏，為我兒子以撒娶妻。』僕人對亞伯拉罕說：『萬一女子不情願跟我到此地來呢，那我必須將你兒子帶回你所由出之地麼？』亞伯拉罕對他說：『你要小心、不可帶我兒子回那裏去。天上之上帝永恆主、那曾帶領我離開我父的家和我親族之地、曾對我說話、曾向我起誓說：「我要將這地賜給你後裔」的，他必差遣他的使者在你前面，你就可以從那裏為我兒子娶妻。倘若女子不情願跟你來，我叫你起的誓就與你無干；只不可帶我兒子回那裏去就是了。僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿下、根據這訓話向他起誓。那僕人從他主人的駱駝裏取了十匹駱駝，手裏帶主人的各樣美物；就起身往米所波大米去，到了拿鶴的城。

亞伯蘭說：『主啊，我，我快要去世了還沒有兒子，你還賜給我甚麼呢？那麼承受我家業的、就將要是大馬色以利以謝了！』

他們出城，走了不遠，約瑟就對管家的說：『起來，追趕那些人；趕上了，就對他們說：「你們為甚麼以惡報善呢？

孩子漸漸長大，就斷了奶；以撒斷奶的日子，亞伯拉罕設擺了盛大的筵席。
