When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to his steward,“ Take the men to my house. Slaughter an animal and prepare it, for they will eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he spoke to the manager of his house.“ Take these men to my house,” he said.“ Kill an animal and prepare a meal. I want them to eat with me at noon.”

Then Joseph commanded his steward:“ Fill the men’s bags with as much food as they can carry, and put each one’s money at the top of his bag.

So they approached Joseph’s steward and spoke to him at the doorway of the house.

So he prepared a banquet for them, and they ate and drank.

She has prepared her meat; she has mixed her wine; she has also set her table.

Then Jacob offered a sacrifice on the mountain and invited his relatives to eat a meal. So they ate a meal and spent the night on the mountain.

Am I supposed to take my bread, my water, and my meat that I butchered for my shearers and give them to these men? I don’t know where they are from.”

Joseph found favor in his master’s sight and became his personal attendant. Potiphar also put him in charge of his household and placed all that he owned under his authority.From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The Lord’s blessing was on all that he owned, in his house and in his fields.

Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his household who managed all he owned,“ Place your hand under my thigh,and I will have you swear by the Lord, God of heaven and God of earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites among whom I live,but will go to my land and my family to take a wife for my son Isaac.”The servant said to him,“ Suppose the woman is unwilling to follow me to this land? Should I have your son go back to the land you came from?”Abraham answered him,“ Make sure that you don’t take my son back there.The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from my native land, who spoke to me and swore to me,‘ I will give this land to your offspring’— He will send His angel before you, and you can take a wife for my son from there.If the woman is unwilling to follow you, then you are free from this oath to me, but don’t let my son go back there.”So the servant placed his hand under his master Abraham’s thigh and swore an oath to him concerning this matter.The servant took 10 of his master’s camels and departed with all kinds of his master’s goods in hand. Then he set out for Nahor’s town Aram-naharaim.

But Abram said,“ Lord God, what can You give me, since I am childless and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?”

They had not gone very far from the city when Joseph said to his steward,“ Get up. Pursue the men, and when you overtake them, say to them,‘ Why have you repaid evil for good?

The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham held a great feast on the day Isaac was weaned.
