When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he spoke to the manager of his house.“ Take these men to my house,” he said.“ Kill an animal and prepare a meal. I want them to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Bring the men into the house, and slaughter an animal and make ready, for the men are to dine with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the manager of his household,“ These men will eat with me this noon. Take them inside the palace. Then go slaughter an animal, and prepare a big feast.”

約瑟吩咐家宰說：「把糧食裝滿這些人的口袋，儘着他們的驢所能馱的，又把各人的銀子放在各人的口袋裏，

他們就挨近約瑟的家宰，在屋門口和他說話，

以撒就為他們設擺筵席，他們便吃了喝了。

宰殺牲畜，調和旨酒，設擺筵席；

又在山上獻祭，請眾弟兄來吃飯。他們吃了飯，便在山上住宿。

我豈可將飲食和為我剪羊毛人所宰的肉給我不知道從哪裏來的人呢？」

約瑟就在主人眼前蒙恩，伺候他主人，並且主人派他管理家務，把一切所有的都交在他手裏。自從主人派約瑟管理家務和他一切所有的，耶和華就因約瑟的緣故賜福與那埃及人的家；凡家裏和田間一切所有的都蒙耶和華賜福。

亞伯拉罕對管理他全業最老的僕人說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下。我要叫你指着耶和華－天地的主起誓，不要為我兒子娶這迦南地中的女子為妻。你要往我本地本族去，為我的兒子以撒娶一個妻子。」僕人對他說：「倘若女子不肯跟我到這地方來，我必須將你的兒子帶回你原出之地嗎？」亞伯拉罕對他說：「你要謹慎，不要帶我的兒子回那裏去。耶和華－天上的主曾帶領我離開父家和本族的地，對我說話，向我起誓說：『我要將這地賜給你的後裔。』他必差遣使者在你面前，你就可以從那裏為我兒子娶一個妻子。倘若女子不肯跟你來，我使你起的誓就與你無干了，只是不可帶我的兒子回那裏去。」僕人就把手放在他主人亞伯拉罕的大腿底下，為這事向他起誓。那僕人從他主人的駱駝裏取了十匹駱駝，並帶些他主人各樣的財物，起身往美索不達米亞去，到了拿鶴的城。

亞伯蘭說：「主耶和華啊，我既無子，你還賜我甚麼呢？並且要承受我家業的是大馬士革人以利以謝。」

他們出城走了不遠，約瑟對家宰說：「起來，追那些人去，追上了就對他們說：『你們為甚麼以惡報善呢？

孩子漸長，就斷了奶。以撒斷奶的日子，亞伯拉罕設擺豐盛的筵席。
