When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

约瑟吩咐管家说：“给他们的袋子装满粮食，他们能带多少就装多少，并且把各人的银子放在各自的袋子口。

他们就挨近约瑟的管家，在屋门口与他说话。

于是以撒为他们摆设宴席，他们就一起吃喝。

宰杀了牲畜，调制了酒，又摆设了筵席。

于是雅各在山上献祭物，又叫他的兄弟们来吃饭。他们吃了饭，就在山上过夜。

我能拿我的饼、我的水，以及我为那些剪羊毛之人宰杀的肉，给我不知道来自哪里的人吗？”

约瑟就在他主人的眼前蒙恩，事奉他的主人。他主人指派他管理自己的家，把自己所拥有的一切都交在他的手中。自从波提乏指派约瑟管理家和所拥有的一切，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故祝福了那埃及人的家；无论在家里或在田间，他所拥有的一切都蒙耶和华的祝福。

亚伯拉罕对管理他所有家业、家中最大的仆人说：“请你把手放在我大腿底下，我要你指着耶和华——天和地的神起誓，不可从我所住的迦南，为我的儿子娶他们的女儿为妻；而要到我的本土本族去，为我的儿子以撒娶妻。”那仆人对他说：“假如那女子不愿意随着我到这地来，那么我必须把你的儿子带回你离开的故土吗？”亚伯拉罕对他说：“你要小心，不要把我的儿子带回那里。耶和华——天上的神对我说话，又向我起誓说：‘我必把这地赐给你的后裔’；他曾带我离开父家和本族之地。现在他必派遣使者在你前面，你就得以从那里为我的儿子娶妻。如果那女子不愿意随着你来，我让你起的这誓就与你无关了，只是你不可把我的儿子带回那里。”于是那仆人就把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿底下，为这事向他起誓。那仆人从他主人的骆驼群中取来十匹骆驼，拿着他主人的各样美物就出发了；他起身往美索不达米亚，去拿鹤的城。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，你要赐给我什么呢？我一直没有孩子，我家业的继承人是大马士革人以利以谢。”

他们刚出城，走了不远，约瑟就对管家说：“起来，追赶那些人！追上后就对他们说：‘你们为什么以恶报善呢？

孩子长大了，断了奶。在以撒断奶的那天，亚伯拉罕摆设了盛大的宴席。
