Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”

Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them. So he said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the places where our land isn’t guarded very well.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. And he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before. He said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.”

Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to look at the undefended parts of our land.”

約瑟做了一個夢，告訴他的哥哥們，他們就更加恨他。約瑟對他們說：『請聽我所做的這個夢。我們在田間捆禾稼；我所捆的竟起來，並且立着；你們所捆的竟來圍着我所捆的下拜。』他的哥哥們對他說：『難道你真地要作王來統治我們麼？真地要管理我們麼？』他們就為了他的夢和他的話的緣故更加恨他。後來他又做了一個夢，也向他的哥哥們敘說了。他說：『我又做了一個夢，夢見日頭月亮和十一顆星、都向我下拜。』

偵探看見一個人從城裏出來，就對他說：『請把進城的路指示我們，我們就恩待你。』

做偵探的兩個青年人就進去，將喇合和她父親、母親、弟兄、和她一切所有的、跟她一切家屬、都帶出來，安頓在以色列營外。

永恆主擊殺了人民，是因為他們對亞倫造的牛犢所作的事的緣故。

以上就是摩西所打發去窺探那地的人的名字。摩西稱嫩的兒子何西亞為約書亞。摩西打發他們去窺探迦南地，對他們說：『你們這就要從這裏取道南地上去，直上山地。看那地怎麼樣，看住在那裏的人民是強壯是軟弱、是少是多，看他們所住的地怎麼樣、是好是歹，看他們所住的城怎麼樣、是營盤、還是堡壘，看那地怎麼樣、是肥沃還是瘠薄，看那裏有沒有樹木。你們要放膽，把那地的果子拿些來。』那時正是葡萄初熟的時候。

把你們頂小的弟弟帶到我這裏來，我便知道你們不是探子，乃是老實人；這樣，我就把你們的弟兄交給你們，你們也可以在這地作買賣了。」

『你打發人去窺探我所賜給以色列人的迦南地；按他們父系的支派每支派打發一人一人去，都要做他們中間的首領的。

因着信、廟妓喇合以和平的風度接待探子，就沒有跟硬不信的人一同滅亡。

於是直窺探着，差遣偵察，自己裝做好人，要在他的話語上抓得把柄，好拿他送交在統治官的管理和權柄之下。

於是嫩的兒子約書亞從什亭暗暗打發兩個人做偵探，說：『你們去察看那地、尤其是耶利哥。』二人就去，來到一個廟妓女、名叫喇合的、家裏，就在那裏住宿。

『那地的主人對我們說了嚴厲的話，拿我們當做偵察那地的探子。我們對他說：『我們是老實人，並不是探子。

大衛就打發人去做偵探，便知道掃羅已經到了他的對面。

你們要打發你們中間一個人去，把你們的兄弟帶來；至於你們呢、都必須被囚，好試驗你們的話真不真；若不真，我指着法老的性命來起誓，你們一定是探子。』
