And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved[ of my children]: Joseph[ is] not, and Simeon[ is] not, and ye will take Benjamin[ away]: all these things are against me.

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my children. Joseph is no more and Simeon is no more, and now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is against me!”

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have taken my children away from me. Joseph is gone. Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything is going against me!”

And Jacob their father said to them,“ You have bereaved me of my children: Joseph is no more, and Simeon is no more, and now you would take Benjamin. All this has come against me.”

Jacob exclaimed,“ You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. Everything is going against me!”

Their father Jacob said to them,“ It’s me that you make childless. Joseph is gone, and Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything happens to me!”

And their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my sons: Joseph is gone, and Simeon is gone, and now you would take Benjamin; all these things are against me.”

And Jacob their father said to them,“ You have bereaved me: Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin. All these things are against me.”

And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You have deprived me of my sons. Joseph is gone and Simeon is gone. Now you want to take Benjamin. Everything happens to me!”

Their father Jacob said to them,“ You are making me childless! Joseph is gone. Simeon is gone. And now you want to take Benjamin! Everything is against me.”

Jacob, their father, said to them,“ You have bereaved me of my children! Joseph is no more, Simeon is no more, and you want to take Benjamin away. All these things are against me.”

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved[ of my children], I am bereaved.

I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

And immediately Jesus stretched forth[ his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this[ is] all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

And Joseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his father’s household, with bread, according to[ their] families.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to[ his] purpose.

Fear thou not; for I[ am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I[ am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

And Israel said,[ It is] enough; Joseph my son[ is] yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

Better[ is] the end of a thing than the beginning thereof:[ and] the patient in spirit[ is] better than the proud in spirit.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God[ is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear[ it].

O remember that my life[ is] wind: mine eye shall no more see good.

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.And Reuben heard[ it], and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood,[ but] cast him into this pit that[ is] in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat,[ his] coat of[ many] colours that[ was] on him;And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit[ was] empty,[ there was] no water in it.And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry[ it] down to Egypt.And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit[ is it] if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he[ is] our brother[ and] our flesh. And his brethren were content.Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty[ pieces] of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph[ was] not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child[ is] not; and I, whither shall I go?And they took Joseph’s coat, and killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the coat in the blood;And they sent the coat of[ many] colours, and they brought[ it] to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it[ be] thy son’s coat or no.And he knew it, and said,[ It is] my son’s coat; an evil beast hath devoured him; Joseph is without doubt rent in pieces.And Jacob rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his loins, and mourned for his son many days.And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.Fear not, thou worm Jacob,[ and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding[ and] eternal weight of glory;

What shall we then say to these things? If God[ be] for us, who[ can be] against us?

Many[ are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul:[ there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.
