不要以恶报恶。要尊重别人，众人都认为好的事，应该竭力去做。如果可能，总要尽力与人和睦相处。亲爱的弟兄姊妹，不要私自报复，要让上帝来审判，因为圣经上说：“主说，‘申冤在我，我必报应。’”所以，“你的仇敌若饿了，就给他吃的；若渴了，就给他喝的；你这样做是把炭火堆在他头上。”你不可被恶所胜，反要以善胜恶。

约瑟吩咐管家说：“给他们的口袋装满粮食，他们能带多少就装多少，把各人的钱放回他们的口袋中，再把我的银杯和买粮的钱一起放在最小的兄弟的口袋中。”管家一一办妥了。

但我告诉你们，要爱仇敌，为迫害你们的人祷告。

“你们要先寻求上帝的国和祂的义，这一切都会赐给你们。

耶和华说：“口渴的人啊，来喝水吧！没有钱的人啊，来买东西吃吧！买酒买奶都不用付钱。
