Listen,” he went on,“ I have heard there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy some for us so that we will live and not die.”

He continued,“ I have heard that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy some for us, so that we may live and not die.”

And he said,“ Indeed I have heard that there is grain in Egypt; go down to that place and buy for us there, that we may live and not die.”

And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is grain in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.

He then said,“ Look, I hear that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy grain for us so that we may live and not die.”

Then Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die— neither we, nor you, nor our children.

But He answered,“ It is written: Man must not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

“ Return quickly to my father and say to him,‘ This is what your son Joseph says:“ God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me without delay.

When they had used up the grain they had brought back from Egypt, their father said to them,“ Go back and buy us some food.”

In those days Hezekiah became terminally ill. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came and said to him,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Put your affairs in order, for you are about to die; you will not recover.’”

I will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the Lord has done.
