法老召博士及巫覡、即埃及之術士至、亦施厥術、以行是事、

故我將行奇事於斯民、奇之最奇、智者亡其智、聰者蔽其聰、○

希律王時、耶穌既生於猶太之伯利恆、有博士數人、自東方至耶路撒冷、

或謂爾曰、巫覡術士、其聲綿蠻微細、爾其求之、夫民豈不當求其上帝乎、詎為生者求死者哉、

巫覡勿問、術士勿從、免致受玷、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝也、

爰得一夢、令我畏懼、在牀所思、暨所得之異象、使我煩擾、

稱伯提沙撒之但以理、愕然頃之、中心煩擾、王曰、伯提沙撒歟、勿以夢及其解煩擾、伯提沙撒對曰、我主歟、願此夢應於憾爾者、其解應於爾敵、

術士亦施厥術、欲生蚋而不能、蚋在人畜、術士告法老曰、此上帝之手也、法老剛愎厥心、不聽從之、如耶和華所言、○

既至爾上帝耶和華所賜之地、勿效其民所為可惡之事、凡使子女經火者、卜筮者、觀兆者、用法術者、行邪術者、持咒者、交鬼者、為覡者、招魂者、勿留之於爾中、凡行此者、皆為耶和華所惡、諸族行此可惡之事、故爾上帝耶和華逐之於爾前、爾於爾上帝耶和華、當為純全之人、爾所將逐之族、聽從觀兆者、卜筮者、惟爾上帝耶和華、不容爾行是、

有以彼古羅、斯多亞二教之哲士數人、與之爭辨、或曰、此嘐啁者、欲何言耶、或曰、似宣揚異邦鬼神者、蓋保羅宣耶穌及復起也、

埃及人心志衰頹、其謀為我所敗、必詢於偶像、與持呪者、巫覡及術士、

其言至此而竟、我但以理中懷煩擾、容色改變、惟存此事於心、

術士亦施厥術、使蛙至於埃及、○

但以理對曰、王所問之秘奧、哲士術士、巫人卜筮、不能告王、惟在天有上帝、顯示秘奧、彼以末日必有之事、示尼布甲尼撒王、王在牀所得之夢、及所見之異象乃此、

我但以理昏迷、疾病數日、後乃起理王事、我駭詫此異象、無人明其意焉、

勿自欺、爾中或於斯世自以為智者、則當為愚以成智、蓋斯世之智、於上帝為愚、記有之、主令智者自中其詭計、又曰、主知智者之意念皆虛、

尼布甲尼撒二年、王得夢、心煩不得寢、乃召巫人、術士卜筮、及迦勒底人咸至、為王說夢、眾入、立於王前、王謂之曰、我得夢、中心煩擾、欲知夢兆維何、迦勒底人以亞蘭方言奏王曰、願王萬歲、請以夢告僕、我則解之、王曰、我命已出、如爾不以夢、及其解告我、必解爾體、使爾室為糞場、如以夢及其解告我、則必自我而獲品物、賞賚、及大尊榮、故當以夢及其解告我、彼復奏王曰、請以夢告僕、我則解之、王曰、我確知爾欲延其時、因知我命已出、如爾不以夢告我、祇以一法懲爾、因爾設誑言妄語告我、以待其時變易、爾其以夢告我、則知爾能解之、迦勒底人對曰、王之事、天下無能示之、從未有君王、主治者、掌權者、以此詰巫人術士、及迦勒底人者、王所詰者罕矣、除不居於形軀之神外、無能告王、

記有之、我將敗智者之智、廢哲者之哲、

詰朝約瑟入、見其有憂色、

我既聞之、我體戰慄、我脣顫動、骸骨若朽、我戰慄於我所、我惟靜默、以俟患難之日至、犯境之民來、

王變乎色、中心煩擾、腰骨脫節、兩膝相觸、乃大聲而呼、命召術士、迦勒底人、卜筮咸入、王告巴比倫哲士曰、讀斯文為我解之者、必身衣絳袍、項垂金索、治國職居其三、王之哲士咸入、而莫能讀其文、為王解之、

爾國中有一人焉、聖神之靈寓於其中、爾父之時、見其通明、聰睿、智慧、若神之智、爾父尼布甲尼撒王、立之為巫人術士、迦勒底人、卜筮之長、

瑣安之牧伯愚甚、法老有智之謀士、所謀愚蠢、何謂法老曰、我乃哲人之後、前王之胤耶、爾之智者安在、萬軍之耶和華為埃及所定者、任其知之以告爾、瑣安之牧伯為愚、挪弗之牧伯見惑、埃及支派之屋隅石、引其民於迷途、

爾今起立、施爾符呪、及諸邪術、即爾自幼所勤習者、試觀其效、或能獲益、或能懾敵、爾因多謀、而致疲憊、維彼觀天象、察星辰、每月預告將來之事者、今其起立、庶可救爾、免罹後患、

術士因有瘡痍、不能立於摩西前、蓋術士與埃及人、皆生瘍也、

凡狥欲從巫覡術士者、我必怒之、絕於民中、

敗狡者之計、俾其所謀不得成、令智者自中其詭計、使譎者之謀早敗、

耶和華與畏己者相親、必示以其約兮、

摩西盡學埃及人之學術、言行兼優、行年四十、

曰、我儕得夢、無人能占、曰、占夢豈非由於上帝乎、請述於我、○
