大声吩咐将巫师、迦勒底人和观兆的领进来。王对巴比伦的智慧人说：“谁能读这文字，并且向我讲解它的意思，他必身穿紫袍，项带金链，在我国中位列第三。”

于是王从自己手上摘下戒指给犹太人的仇敌，亚甲人哈米大他的儿子哈曼。

王摘下自己的戒指，就是从哈曼取回的，给了末底改。以斯帖派末底改管理哈曼的家产。

我听说你能讲解，能解疑惑；现在你若能读这文字，为我讲解它的意思，就必身穿紫袍，项戴金链，在我国中位列第三。”

你们可以照你们看为好的，奉王的名写谕旨给犹太人，用王的戒指盖印；因为奉王的名所写、用王的戒指盖印的谕旨是不能废除的。”

末底改穿着蓝色白色的朝服，头戴大金冠冕，又穿紫色细麻布的外袍，从王面前出来；书珊城充满了欢乐的呼声。

末底改奉亚哈随鲁王的名写谕旨，用王的戒指盖印，交给信差们骑上御用的王室快马去颁布。

父亲却吩咐仆人：‘快把那上好的袍子拿出来给他穿，把戒指戴在他指头上，把鞋穿在他脚上，

哈曼就对王说：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，当把王所穿的王袍拿来，牵了戴冠的御马，把王袍和御马都交给王一个极尊贵的大臣，吩咐人把王袍给王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人穿上，领他骑着御马走遍城里的广场，在他面前宣告：‘王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，就是这样待他。’”王对哈曼说：“你速速把这王袍和御马，照你所说的，向坐在朝门的犹太人末底改去做。凡你所说的，一样都不可缺。”于是哈曼把王袍给末底改穿上，领他骑着御马走遍城里的广场，在他面前宣告：“王所喜爱要赐尊荣的人，就是这样待他。”末底改仍回到朝门，哈曼却忧忧闷闷地蒙着头，急忙回家去了。

她做细麻布衣裳来卖，又将腰带卖给商家。

你的两颊因发辫而秀美，你的颈项因珠串而华丽。

犹太人末底改作亚哈随鲁王的宰相，在犹太人中为大，得许多弟兄的喜悦，为本族的人争取福利，为他所有的后代谋求幸福。

因为这要作你头上恩惠的华冠，作你颈上的项链。

当时，尼布甲尼撒王脸伏于地，向但以理下拜，并且吩咐人给他奉上供物和香。王对但以理说：“你既能讲明这奥秘，你们的上帝诚然是万神之神、万王之主，是奥秘的启示者。”

她为自己制作被单，她的衣服是细麻和紫色布做的。

你的帆是用埃及绣花细麻布做的，可作你的大旗；你的篷是用以利沙岛的蓝色和紫色布做的。

我使你身穿锦绣衣裳，脚穿海狗皮鞋，用细麻布裹着你，精致衣料披在你身上。我用首饰打扮你：我把手镯戴在你手上，项链在你颈上，

正月十三日，王的一些书记受召而来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的语言，奉亚哈随鲁王的名写谕旨，又用王的戒指盖印，传给王的总督、各省的省长，以及各族的领袖。

头一个上来，说：‘主啊，你的一锭银子已经赚了十锭。’主人对他说：‘好，我善良的仆人，你既在最小的事上忠心，你有权柄管十座城。’第二个来，说：‘主啊，你的一锭银子已经赚了五锭。’主人也对这个说：‘你管五座城。’
