耶和华的言语熬炼他，直到他的话语应验。王派人把他解开，民众的管辖者将他释放；立他为王家之主，管辖王一切所拥有的；让他可以随意捆绑王的群臣，将智慧传授给王的众长老。

去供给锡安悲哀的人——赐给他们头饰代替灰烬，喜乐的膏油代替哀恸，赞美的衣服代替沮丧的灵。这样，他们就被称为“公义的橡树”，是耶和华所栽种的，为要显出他的荣耀。

到了第三天，以斯帖穿上王后袍，站在王宫的内院，面对王宫；王在王宫里坐在宝座上，面对王宫的入口。

末迪凯知道了所发生的一切事，就撕裂自己的衣服，披麻蒙灰，出去到城中，大声痛苦地哀叫。他来到御门前面就停住，因为以麻布为衣袍的人不可进入御门。那时在各个省，在王令和他的法令所传到的地方，犹太人都大大哀恸；他们禁食、哭泣、哀号，许多人躺在麻布和灰烬上。以斯帖的使女们和太监们前来把这事告诉她。王后极其惊慌，就送衣服给末迪凯穿，要他脱去身上的麻布，他却不接受。

我因耶和华大大欢喜，我的心因我的神而快乐，因为他给我穿上救恩的衣服，给我披上公义的外袍，如同新郎像祭司那样戴上头饰，又如新娘佩戴装饰。
