Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream; and behold, he stood by the river.

When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing by the Nile,

When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream. In his dream, he was standing by the Nile River.

After two whole years, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing by the Nile,

Two full years later, Pharaoh dreamed that he was standing on the bank of the Nile River.

At the end of two years Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing beside the Nile,

Now it happened at the end of two full years that Pharaoh had a dream, and behold, he was standing by the Nile.

And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent to him, saying,“ Have nothing to do with that just Man, for I have suffered many things today in a dream because of Him.”

And Laban said to him,“ Surely you are my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him for a month.

And the land of Egypt shall become desolate and waste; then they will know that I am the Lord, because he said,‘ The River is mine, and I have made it.’

And it shall be, if they do not believe even these two signs, or listen to your voice, that you shall take water from the river and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take from the river will become blood on the dry land.”

Then the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison, had a dream, both of them, each man’s dream in one night and each man’s dream with its own interpretation.

The waters will fail from the sea, And the river will be wasted and dried up.

For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden;

That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.

Speak, and say,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ Behold, I am against you, O Pharaoh king of Egypt, O great monster who lies in the midst of his rivers, Who has said,‘ My River is my own; I have made it for myself.’

So he fled with all that he had. He arose and crossed the river, and headed toward the mountains of Gilead.

So Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying,“ Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.”

But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him,“ Indeed you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.”

In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds,Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.

I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts on my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.Therefore I issued a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.Then the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers came in, and I told them the dream; but they did not make known to me its interpretation.But at last Daniel came before me( his name is Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god; in him is the Spirit of the Holy God), and I told the dream before him, saying:“ Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, because I know that the Spirit of the Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles you, explain to me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and its interpretation.“ These were the visions of my head while on my bed: I was looking, and behold, A tree in the midst of the earth, And its height was great.The tree grew and became strong; Its height reached to the heavens, And it could be seen to the ends of all the earth.Its leaves were lovely, Its fruit abundant, And in it was food for all. The beasts of the field found shade under it, The birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches, And all flesh was fed from it.“ I saw in the visions of my head while on my bed, and there was a watcher, a holy one, coming down from heaven.He cried aloud and said thus:‘ Chop down the tree and cut off its branches, Strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts get out from under it, And the birds from its branches.Nevertheless leave the stump and roots in the earth, Bound with a band of iron and bronze, In the tender grass of the field. Let it be wet with the dew of heaven, And let him graze with the beasts On the grass of the earth.Let his heart be changed from that of a man, Let him be given the heart of a beast, And let seven times pass over him.‘ This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’“ This dream I, King Nebuchadnezzar, have seen. Now you, Belteshazzar, declare its interpretation, since all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known to me the interpretation; but you are able, for the Spirit of the Holy God is in you.”

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.Daniel spoke, saying,“ I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.“ And suddenly another beast, a second, like a bear. It was raised up on one side, and had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. And they said thus to it:‘ Arise, devour much flesh!’“ After this I looked, and there was another, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird. The beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.“ After this I saw in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth; it was devouring, breaking in pieces, and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.I was considering the horns, and there was another horn, a little one, coming up among them, before whom three of the first horns were plucked out by the roots. And there, in this horn, were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking pompous words.

Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.And the king said to them,“ I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream.”

Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.So he said to them,“ Please hear this dream which I have dreamed:There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”And his brothers said to him,“ Shall you indeed reign over us? Or shall you indeed have dominion over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words.Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”So he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him,“ What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?”

And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said,“ I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed.”Then his companion answered and said,“ This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.”
