They told him,“ We both had dreams, but there is no one to interpret them.” Joseph responded,“ Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me.”

他们回答他：“我们各人作了一个梦，但没有人能够解释。”约瑟对他们说：“解梦不是出于神吗？请把梦告诉我吧。”

他们对他说：“我们各做了一梦，但无人能解。”约瑟就对他们说：“解梦难道不在于神吗？请给我讲述一下吧。”

曰、我儕得夢、無人能占其兆。約瑟曰、占其兆者、由於上帝所示、請述其詳。

曰、我儕得夢、無人能解、約瑟曰、解夢非由天主乎、請述於我、

“ We both had dreams,” they answered,“ but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”

“ We both had dreams,” they answered.“ But no one can tell us what they mean.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Only God knows what dreams mean. Tell me your dreams.”

They said to him,“ We have had dreams, and there is no one to interpret them.” And Joseph said to them,“ Do not interpretations belong to God? Please tell them to me.”

And they replied,“ We both had dreams last night, but no one can tell us what they mean.”“ Interpreting dreams is God’s business,” Joseph replied.“ Go ahead and tell me your dreams.”

“ We had dreams,” they said to him,“ but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”

And they said to him,“ We have had a dream, and there is no one to interpret it.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Do interpretations not belong to God? Tell it to me, please.”

And they said to him,“ We each have had a dream, and there is no interpreter of it.” So Joseph said to them,“ Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell them to me, please.”

And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is none that can interpret it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell it me, I pray you.

“ We had dreams,” they said to him,“ but there is no one to interpret them.” Then Joseph said to them,“ Don’t interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”

And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and[ there is] no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them,[ Do] not interpretations[ belong] to God? tell me[ them], I pray you.

They said to him,“ We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.” Joseph said to them,“ Don’t interpretations belong to God? Please tell it to me.”

Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ I had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard about you, that you can interpret dreams.”Joseph replied to Pharaoh,“ It is not within my power, but God will speak concerning the welfare of Pharaoh.”

The king replied to Daniel,“ Certainly your God is a God of gods and Lord of kings and revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery!”

However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the times to come. The dream and the visions you had while lying on your bed are as follows.

to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.

Certainly the sovereign LORD does nothing without first revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.

The LORD’s loyal followers receive his guidance, and he reveals his covenantal demands to them.

Later Daniel entered( whose name is Belteshazzar after the name of my god, and in whom there is a spirit of the holy gods). I recounted the dream for him as well,

There is a man in your kingdom who has within him a spirit of the holy gods. In the days of your father, he proved to have insight, discernment, and wisdom like that of the gods. King Nebuchadnezzar your father appointed him chief of the magicians, astrologers, wise men, and diviners.Thus there was found in this man Daniel, whom the king renamed Belteshazzar, an extraordinary spirit, knowledge, and skill to interpret dreams, solve riddles, and decipher knotty problems. Now summon Daniel, and he will disclose the interpretation.”So Daniel was brought in before the king. The king said to Daniel,“ Are you that Daniel who is one of the captives of Judah, whom my father the king brought from Judah?I have heard about you, how there is a spirit of the gods in you, and how you have insight, discernment, and extraordinary wisdom.Now the wise men and astrologers were brought before me to read this writing and make known to me its interpretation. But they were unable to disclose the interpretation of the message.

What the king is asking is too difficult, and no one exists who can disclose it to the king, except for the gods– but they don’t live among mortals!”

In a dream, a night vision, when deep sleep falls on people as they sleep in their beds.Then he gives a revelation to people, and terrifies them with warnings,

They will say to you,“ Seek oracles at the pits used to conjure up underworld spirits, from the magicians who chirp and mutter incantations. Should people not seek oracles from their gods, by asking the dead about the destiny of the living?”
