让做梦的先知尽管宣扬他们的梦吧，但得到我话语的先知要忠心地传达我的话。糠秕怎能与麦子相比呢！这是耶和华说的。”

一天晚上，我俩都做了梦。当时有一个希伯来青年跟我们一起被囚在牢里，他是护卫长的仆人。我们把梦告诉他，他就分别为我们解梦。后来，他为我们解的梦都应验了，我恢复了原职，膳食总管被挂在木头上处死了。”

他有非凡的心智、知识和悟性，能解梦、释谜、解惑。他叫但以理，先王给他取名叫伯提沙撒。现在可以把他召来，他必能解释这些字的意思。”

这奥秘在夜间的异象中向但以理显明，他便颂赞天上的上帝，说：“上帝的名永永远远当受称颂，因为智慧和能力都属于祂。祂改变时令和季节，废王立王，赐智慧给智者，赐知识给哲士。祂显明深奥隐秘之事，洞悉暗中的隐情，有光与祂同住。我祖先的上帝啊，我感谢你，赞美你，因你赐我智慧和能力，应允我们的祈求，使我们明白王的梦。”

你们钉死在十字架上的耶稣，我们祖先的上帝已经使祂复活了。

他们回答说：“我们都做了梦，可是没有人给我们解梦。”约瑟说：“解梦的能力不是来自上帝吗？请你们把梦告诉我。”

约瑟回答说：“我自己不会解梦，但上帝却能给王圆满的解释。”
