却处死了膳食总管，正应验了约瑟的话。

扫罗的嫔妃、埃亚的女儿利斯巴在一块磐石上用麻布搭了一座棚看尸。她白天不让飞鸟靠近，夜间不容野兽走近，从开始收割大麦，一直守到降下雨来。

因为上帝的整个计划，我没有向你们避而不宣。

最上面的一筐里放着为法老烤制的各种食物，有鸟来吃筐内的食物。”

随后约书亚将这五个王杀死，把尸体分别挂在五棵树上，直到傍晚。

但基督替我们受了咒诅，从而救赎我们脱离了律法的咒诅，因为圣经上说：“凡挂在木头上的人都是受咒诅的。”

约书亚又将艾城王的尸体挂在树上示众。黄昏时，他才吩咐人把尸体取下来丢在城门口，又在尸体上堆了一大堆石头。石堆至今还在。

嘲笑父亲、藐视母亲教诲的，眼睛必被谷中的乌鸦啄出，被秃鹰吃掉。

你和你的军队以及与你同来的各国联军都要倒毙在以色列的山岭上，我要把你们的尸体给各种猛禽野兽作食物。

三天之内，法老必定释放你，恢复你侍酒总管的职位。你仍要和从前一样伺候法老饮酒。

今天，耶和华必把你交在我手中，我必杀死你，砍掉你的头，用非利士军兵的尸体喂天上的飞禽和地上的走兽，使普天下都知道以色列有上帝。

又说：“你过来，我要把你的肉丢给天上的飞禽和地上的走兽。”

请你把扫罗的七个子孙交给我们。耶和华选立了扫罗，我们就在耶和华面前把他们吊死在扫罗的家乡基比亚城。”王说：“我必把他们交给你们。”

“如果有人犯了死罪，尸体被挂在木头上，不可让尸体在木头上过夜，必须当天埋葬，因为凡挂在木头上的人都是上帝所咒诅的。你们不可玷污你们的上帝耶和华将要赐给你们的土地。

后来，他为我们解的梦都应验了，我恢复了原职，膳食总管被挂在木头上处死了。”
