I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.”

So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined; and he was there in the prison.

Now a Hebrew youth was there with us, a servant of the captain of the bodyguard, and we told him the dreams, and he interpreted our dreams for us. For each man he interpreted according to his own dream.

So, my father, look! Indeed, look at the edge of your robe in my hand! For by the fact that I cut off the edge of your robe but did not kill you, know and understand that there is no evil or rebellion in my hands, and I have not sinned against you, though you are lying in wait for my life, to take it.

How then could I do this great evil, and sin against God?”Though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he did not listen to her to lie beside her or be with her.Now it happened one day that he went into the house to do his work, and none of the people of the household was there inside.So she grabbed him by his garment, saying,“ Sleep with me!” But he left his garment in her hand and fled, and went outside.

So they brought Joseph into Egypt.

for the sexually immoral, homosexuals, slave traders, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching,

But there were some Jews from Asia—who ought to have been present before you and to have been bringing charges, if they should have anything against me.Or else have these men themselves declare what violation they discovered when I stood before the Council,other than in regard to this one declaration which I shouted while standing among them,‘ For the resurrection of the dead I am on trial before you today!’ ”

Jesus replied to them,“ I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?”

“ If someone is caught kidnapping any of his countrymen of the sons of Israel, and he treats him as merchandise and sells him, then that thief shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from among you.

My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, since I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.”

But this has happened so that the word that is written in their Law will be fulfilled:‘ They hated Me for no reason.’
