“ Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain.“ Why do you look so dejected?

耶和华问该隐：“你为什么恼火？为什么面带怒容？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么忿怒呢？你为什么垂头丧气呢？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么恼火呢？你的脸为什么沉下来呢——

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼發怒呢？你為甚麼變了臉色呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼生氣呢？你為甚麼沉下臉來呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼生氣呢？你為甚麼沉下臉來呢？

耶和華問該隱：「你為什麼惱火？為什麼面帶怒容？

耶和華對該隱說：“你為甚麼忿怒呢？你為甚麼垂頭喪氣呢？

永恆主對該隱說：『你為甚麼惱怒？你臉色為甚麼變了呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為什麼惱火呢？你的臉為什麼沉下來呢——

耶和華曰、爾怒奚為、變色曷故、

耶和華曰、爾怒伊何、變色曷故。

主謂該隱曰、爾怒變色何故、

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why are you looking so sad?

The Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen?

Then the LORD said to Cain,“ Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why is your face gloomy?

So the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?

And Jehovah said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Then the LORD said to Cain,“ Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast?

Yahweh said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?

“ Come now, let’s settle this,” says the Lord.“ Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.

Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple.

“ His father said to him,‘ Look, dear son, you have always stayed by me, and everything I have is yours.We had to celebrate this happy day. For your brother was dead and has come back to life! He was lost, but now he is found!’”

“ O my people, what have I done to you? What have I done to make you tired of me? Answer me!For I brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from slavery. I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to help you.Don’t you remember, my people, how King Balak of Moab tried to have you cursed and how Balaam son of Beor blessed you instead? And remember your journey from Acacia Grove to Gilgal, when I, the Lord, did everything I could to teach you about my faithfulness.”

Jesus knew the Pharisees had heard that he was baptizing and making more disciples than John( though Jesus himself didn’t baptize them— his disciples did).So he left Judea and returned to Galilee.He had to go through Samaria on the way.

David was angry because the Lord’s anger had burst out against Uzzah. He named that place Perez uzzah( which means“ to burst out against Uzzah”), as it is still called today.David was now afraid of God, and he asked,“ How can I ever bring the Ark of God back into my care?”So David did not move the Ark into the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed edom of Gath.

“ O my people, listen to the words of the Lord! Have I been like a desert to Israel? Have I been to them a land of darkness? Why then do my people say,‘ At last we are free from God! We don’t need him anymore!’

He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food.The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus,“ You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?”Jesus replied,“ If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.”“ But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said,“ and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water?

Is it against the law for me to do what I want with my money? Should you be jealous because I am kind to others?’

This is what the Lord says:“ What did your ancestors find wrong with me that led them to stray so far from me? They worshiped worthless idols, only to become worthless themselves.
