Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why is your face gloomy?

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么发怒呢？你为什么变了脸色呢？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么生气呢？你为什么沉下脸来呢？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么生气呢？你为什么沉下脸来呢？

耶和华问该隐：“你为什么恼火？为什么面带怒容？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么忿怒呢？你为什么垂头丧气呢？

耶和华对该隐说：“你为什么恼火呢？你的脸为什么沉下来呢——

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼發怒呢？你為甚麼變了臉色呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼生氣呢？你為甚麼沉下臉來呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為甚麼生氣呢？你為甚麼沉下臉來呢？

耶和華問該隱：「你為什麼惱火？為什麼面帶怒容？

耶和華對該隱說：“你為甚麼忿怒呢？你為甚麼垂頭喪氣呢？

永恆主對該隱說：『你為甚麼惱怒？你臉色為甚麼變了呢？

耶和華對該隱說：「你為什麼惱火呢？你的臉為什麼沉下來呢——

耶和華曰、爾怒奚為、變色曷故、

耶和華曰、爾怒伊何、變色曷故。

主謂該隱曰、爾怒變色何故、

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why are you looking so sad?

The Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen?

“ Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain.“ Why do you look so dejected?

Then the LORD said to Cain,“ Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

So the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?

And Jehovah said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Then the Lord said to Cain,“ Why are you furious? And why do you look despondent?

And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

Then the LORD said to Cain,“ Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast?

Yahweh said to Cain,“ Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?

“ Come now, and let us debate your case,” Says the Lord,“ Though your sins are as scarlet, They shall become as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be like wool.

For irritation kills the fool, And jealousy brings death to the simple.

And he said to him,‘ Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours.But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’ ”

My people, what have I done to you, And how have I wearied you? Answer Me.Indeed, I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of slavery, And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.My people, remember now What Balak king of Moab planned And what Balaam son of Beor answered him, And what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, So that you might know the righteous acts of the Lord.”

So then, when the Lord knew that the Pharisees had heard that He was making and baptizing more disciples than John( although Jesus Himself was not baptizing; rather, His disciples were),He left Judea and went away again to Galilee.And He had to pass through Samaria.

For His disciples had gone away to the city to buy food.So the Samaritan woman* said to Him,“ How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?”( For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”She* said to Him,“ Sir, You have no bucket and the well is deep; where then do You get this living water?

Is it not lawful for me to do what I want with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’

This is what the Lord says:“ What injustice did your fathers find in Me, That they went far from Me, And walked after emptiness and became empty?
