And Abel also brought an offering— fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,

Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase:

According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

“ But you shall not redeem the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

remember all your offerings, and accept your burned sacrifice. Selah.

Then Yahweh’s fire fell, and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed.

David built an altar to Yahweh there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called on Yahweh; and he answered him from the sky by fire on the altar of burnt offering.

Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and Yahweh’s glory filled the house.

It came to pass that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold, a smoking furnace and a flaming torch passed between these pieces.

Fire came out from before Yahweh, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

“ I have given to you all the best of the oil, all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first fruits of them which they give to Yahweh.

Then Yahweh’s angel stretched out the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the meat and the unleavened cakes; and fire went up out of the rock and consumed the meat and the unleavened cakes. Then Yahweh’s angel departed out of his sight.

Fire came out from Yahweh, and devoured the two hundred fifty men who offered the incense.

but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish or spot, the blood of Christ,who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in this last age for your sake,

The priest shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the fat is Yahweh’s.“‘ It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall eat neither fat nor blood.’”

You call on the name of your god, and I will call on Yahweh’s name. The God who answers by fire, let him be God.” All the people answered,“ What you say is good.”
