And Abel also brought an offering— fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,

亞伯以信而獻祭於上帝、較該隱尤善、由是得證為義、即上帝因其禮而證之、且由此信雖死猶言、

必以初胎之男子、首生之牡畜、區別歸於耶和華、

以爾資財、及所產之初實、尊榮耶和華、

且依律則諸物幾皆以血而潔、若無流血、則無赦免、○

首生之牛、綿羊、山羊、俱為聖物、毋贖之、以其血灑於壇、焚其脂、以為馨香之火祭、奉於耶和華、

念爾素祭、納爾燔祭、

耶和華之火遂降、焚其燔祭、以及其柴、其石、其塵土、亦涸溝中之水、

宅地之人、其名自創世時未錄於見殺之羔維生之册者、皆將拜獸、

大衛為耶和華築壇於彼、獻燔祭與酬恩祭、籲耶和華、耶和華自天允之、降火於燔祭壇、

所羅門祈禱既畢、火降自天、焚其燔祭與他祭、耶和華之榮光充滿其室、

日入而昏、有出烟之爐、與已燃之炬、由牲牷中而過、

火自耶和華前而出、焚壇上之燔祭與脂、民見之、懽呼俯伏、

油與葡萄酒、及穀之嘉者、所獻於耶和華初稔之物、我以錫爾、

耶和華之使者以所執之杖端、觸肉與餅、火自磐出、焚肉與餅、使者遂往、不復見、

火自耶和華出、燬其焚香者二百五十人、○

乃以寶血、如無疵無玷之羔、即基督之血也、彼於創世之先、固為上帝所預知、但在季世、為爾藉之信上帝者而顯焉、

祭司焚之於壇、是為馨香火祭之食、奉於耶和華、所有之脂、咸歸耶和華、於爾所居之處、凡脂與血、均勿食之、著為永例、歷世勿替、

爾籲爾神之名、我則籲耶和華之名、以火俞允者、則為上帝、民咸曰、所言善也、
