And Abel also brought an offering— fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,

And Abel also brought an offering. He brought the fattest parts of some animals from his flock. They were the first animals born to their mothers. The Lord was pleased with Abel and his offering.

因著信，亞伯比該隱獻上更美的祭品給神；藉著這信心，他被神稱許為義人，這是神指著他的禮物所作的見證；他雖然死了，卻藉著信仍然說話。

你要把所有頭生的奉獻給耶和華，也要把你一切牲畜中所有頭生的小牲口奉獻給耶和華；公的都屬耶和華。

你要把你的財物，和一切初熟的農作物，敬奉耶和華。

按著律法，幾乎所有都是用血潔淨的，如果沒有流血，就沒有赦免。

只是頭生的牛、頭生的綿羊，或是頭生的山羊，你不可贖出來；牠們都是聖的。你要把牠們的血灑在祭壇上，把牠們的脂油焚燒，作為獻給耶和華馨香的火祭。

願他記念你的一切素祭，悅納你的燔祭。（細拉）

於是有耶和華的火降下來，吞滅了燔祭、木柴、石頭和塵土，連溝裡的水也燒乾了。

所有住在地上的人，名字沒有記在創世以來被殺的羊羔之生命冊上的，都要拜牠。

大衛在那裡為耶和華築了一座祭壇，獻上燔祭和平安祭；他呼求耶和華，耶和華就應允他，從天上降火在燔祭壇上。

所羅門禱告完了，有火從天上降下來，燒盡了燔祭和其他的祭品；耶和華的榮光充滿了那殿。

日落天黑的時候，忽然有冒煙的爐和燒著的火把，從那些肉塊中經過。

有火從耶和華面前出來，燒盡了祭壇上的燔祭和脂肪；眾民看見了，就大聲歡呼，俯伏在地。

最好的油、最好的新酒和五穀，就是以色列人獻給耶和華的初熟的物，我都賜給你。

耶和華的使者伸出手中的杖，杖頭一觸著肉和無酵餅，就有火從磐石中上來，把肉和無酵餅都燒盡了；耶和華的使者就從基甸的眼前消失了。

又有火從耶和華那裡出來，把那獻香的二百五十個人吞滅了。

而是憑著基督的寶血，就像無瑕疵無玷污的羊羔的血。基督是在創立世界以前，是神所預知的，卻在這末後的世代才為你們顯現出來。

祭司把這些焚燒在祭壇上，作為馨香火祭的食物。一切脂肪都是屬於耶和華的，任何脂肪和血你們都不可吃。這是你們在一切住處一條世代永存的律例。”

你們呼求你們神的名，我也呼求耶和華的名。那降火來顯示回答的神就是神了。”眾人都回答：“這話說得很好！”
