Behold, you have driven me out today from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. Whoever finds me will kill me.”

今天你把我赶出去，使我不能再见你的面。我在地上四处漂泊，见到我的人都会杀我。”

看哪，今日你赶逐我离开这地，以致我要躲避你的面；我必在地上流离失所，遇见我的，都要杀我。”

看哪，今天你从这地驱逐我，以致我要躲避你的面，在大地上成为漂泊、流荡的人，任何找到我的人，都会杀我！”

你如今趕逐我離開這地，以致不見你面；我必流離飄蕩在地上，凡遇見我的必殺我。」

爾今逐我、俾離斯土、不復覿爾面、流離於地、遇我者必殺我、

主今逐我離斯地、不容我覿主面、我既飄流於地、則凡遇我者必殺我、

Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

Today you are driving me away from the land. I will be hidden from you. I’ll be a restless person who wanders around on the earth. Anyone who finds me will kill me.”

Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and from your face I shall be hidden. I shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

You have banished me from the land and from your presence; you have made me a homeless wanderer. Anyone who finds me will kill me!”

Since you are banishing me today from the face of the earth, and I must hide from your presence and become a restless wanderer on the earth, whoever finds me will kill me.”

Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and I will be hidden from Your face, and I will be a wanderer and a drifter on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”

Look! You are driving me off the land today, and I must hide from your presence. I will be a homeless wanderer on the earth; whoever finds me will kill me.”

The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death. When he meets him, he shall put him to death.

the wicked man writhes in pain all his days, even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.A sound of terrors is in his ears. In prosperity the destroyer will come on him.He doesn’t believe that he will return out of darkness. He is waited for by the sword.He wanders abroad for bread, saying,‘ Where is it?’ He knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.Distress and anguish make him afraid. They prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

Hurry to answer me, Yahweh. My spirit fails. Don’t hide your face from me, so that I don’t become like those who go down into the pit.

The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

For through Yahweh’s anger this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

and the avenger of blood finds him outside of the border of his city of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the man slayer, he shall not be guilty of blood,

or in hostility struck him with his hand, so that he died, he who struck him shall surely be put to death. He is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

I will surely require accounting for your life’s blood. At the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man.Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image.

Yahweh said to him,“ Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, so that anyone finding him would not strike him.Cain left Yahweh’s presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Among these nations you will find no ease, and there will be no rest for the sole of your foot; but Yahweh will give you there a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and pining of soul.

Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.

The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying,“ Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!Everyone who keeps approaching Yahweh’s tabernacle, dies! Will we all perish?”

Let there be no one to extend kindness to him, neither let there be anyone to have pity on his fatherless children.

who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

Behold, the whole family has risen against your servant, and they say,‘ Deliver him who struck his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he killed, and so destroy the heir also.’ Thus they would quench my coal which is left, and would leave to my husband neither name nor remainder on the surface of the earth.”

and look to the earth, and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.

Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners will be converted to you.Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation. My tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.

“‘ As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword. They will fall when no one pursues.

The wicked is brought down in his calamity, but in death, the righteous has a refuge.

They tell God,‘ Depart from us, for we don’t want to know about your ways.What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What profit should we have, if we pray to him?’

These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.

Therefore they will be like the morning mist, and like the dew that passes away early, like the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the threshing floor, and like the smoke out of the chimney.

Then he will say also to those on the left hand,‘ Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;
