But he refused.“ With me in charge,” he told her,“ my master does not concern himself with anything in the house; everything he owns he has entrusted to my care.

和有夫之婦通姦的，實在愚不可及，他是自尋死路。他必挨打，受辱，他的恥辱永難抹去。

淫婦滿口甜言蜜語，油嘴滑舌，最後卻苦如艾草，鋒利似雙刃劍。她的雙腳走進死地，她的步伐邁向陰間。她不走生命的康莊大道，偏離了正途也不自知。孩子們啊，要聽從我，不可違背我的話！要遠遠避開淫婦，不可靠近她的家門，

孩子啊，把你的心交給我，歡然走我的道路。妓女是深坑，淫婦是陷阱；她像強盜般埋伏，使世間增添奸徒。

孩子啊，要遵守你父親的誡命，不可背棄你母親的訓言。你要常常將這些刻在心坎上，繫在頸項上。你行走，它們必引領你；你躺臥，它們必護衛你；你醒來，它們必與你交談。因為誡命是燈，訓言是光，管教責備是生命之道，能使你遠離邪惡的女人，避開油嘴滑舌的妓女。你的心不要貪戀她的美色，也不要被她的媚眼所迷惑，

她們能使你遠離淫婦，遠離妓女的甜言蜜語。

淫婦的口是深坑，耶和華憎惡的人必陷進去。

濫交友，自招損；得知己，勝手足。

孩子啊，惡人若引誘你，千萬不要聽從。

愚昧的女人喧嚷，蒙昧，無知。她坐在自己的家門口，坐在城中高處的座位上，招呼著行色匆匆的過客：「愚昧人啊，到這裡來吧！」她又對無知者說：「偷喝的水甜，偷吃的餅香。」他們卻不知她那裡鬼影幢幢，她的客人已落在陰間的深處。

與別人妻子通姦也是這樣，凡靠近她的必難逃罪責。

別讓你的心偏向淫婦的道，步入她的歧途。因為她使許多人喪命，被她殺害的數目眾多。她的家是通往陰間的路，引人墜入死亡的殿。

智慧要救你脫離淫婦，脫離花言巧語的妓女。她撇棄了年輕時的丈夫，忘了在上帝面前立的約。她的家通向死亡，她的路直達陰間。到她那裡的人都有去無回，找不到生命之道。

因為智慧必進入你心，知識必令你的靈歡快。
