但卑微困苦的人總會擁有地土，得以樂享豐盛的興隆。

波提乏將一切所有的、都放交約瑟手中，除了自己喫的飯以外，別的事一概不知，不跟約瑟計較。約瑟生得丰姿俊秀、容貌美麗。這些事以後，約瑟主人的妻子舉目送情給約瑟說：『和我同寢吧。』

你要倚靠永恆主，要行善；住在地上，安安穩穩地牧放。

在這家裏、他並不比我大；他並沒有留下一樣而不交給我；只有留下了你，因為你是他的妻子。我怎能行這個大壞事、來犯罪得罪上帝呢？』
