詭詐之舌頭啊，要用甚麼去給你呢？要拿甚麼來加給你呢？

我實在是從希伯來人之地被拐來的；就是在這裏、我也沒有作過甚麼、足以叫他們把我下在這監裏的。』

隱藏怨恨的、嘴脣虛假；口出讒言的是愚頑人。

由於仇敵的聲音，惡人的壓力；因為他們將禍患傾落於我身，氣忿忿地逼迫我。

你這臭名污穢、擾亂繁多的城啊，無論是那些離你近或離你遠的，都要譏誚你哦。

凡為攻擊你而製造的器械、必用得不順利；凡在審判時起來跟你爭辯的舌頭、你都必證它為不對；這是永恆主僕人的產業，是他們從我所得的勝訴：永恆主發神諭說了。』

歷經光榮與羞辱、惡名與美名；似乎是迷惑人者，卻是真誠的；

即使不然，你們如果為義而受苦、也是有福氣。不要怕他們，不要震盪不安；只要心裏承認基督為主，尊奉為聖。凡有人請你們說明你們心中所盼望的之緣由，你們總要老準備着回護答覆他。不過也要帶着柔和與敬畏的心，持守着純善的良知，使你們在甚麼事上被毁謗，就在甚麼事上可以叫誣衊你們在基督裏的好品行的人自覺慚愧。你們行善而受苦，如果上帝的旨意願意這樣，總比行惡而受苦的好啊。因為基督也曾儘一次為我們的罪而受死，義的替不義的，為要領我們進到上帝面前。在肉身裏、他是被處死了，但在靈裏、他卻得存活了。

強暴的見證人起來，將我所不知的事盤問我。

你們若在基督名內受辱罵，是有福的；因為「榮耀」之靈、就是上帝之靈、住在你們身上。你們中間別有人因做兇手或盜賊、或為非作惡、或騷擾社會、而受苦了。但若因做基督徒而受苦，就別慚愧了，倒要因有這名而榮耀上帝呢。因為時候到了，審判必須從上帝的家起始。既先從你們起始，那麼那些硬不信從上帝福音的人、會有甚麼樣的結局呢？『如果義人是僅僅能得救的，那麼那不虔敬和犯重罪的、又會顯在哪裏呢？』所以照上帝的旨意而受苦的人、要在行善上將自己託付那可信可靠的創造主。

你們若因犯罪而挨拳打、堅心忍受，有甚麼榮譽呢？但你們若因行善而受苦、堅心忍受，這在上帝看就是溫雅的行為了。

祭司長和全議院直尋假見證告耶穌，好治死他；

希伯所有的子孫的祖，雅弗的大哥閃，他也生了兒子。

有一個逃出來的人來告訴希伯來人亞伯蘭。亞伯蘭正在亞摩利人幔利的聖篤耨香樹那裏居住。幔利是以實各的族弟兄，也是亞乃的族弟兄；這些人都是和亞伯蘭結約的盟友。

就將這些事這麼對他一說：『你所帶到我們這裏來的那希伯來僕人、進來找我、要調戲我。

這些事以後，約瑟主人的妻子舉目送情給約瑟說：『和我同寢吧。』

『認識公義、將我的律法存於心中的人民哪，聽我吧！不要怕人的辱罵，不要因人的毁謗而驚慌；

開始控告他說：『我們查出這個人扭轉我們民族的心，攔阻人納貢銀給該撒，並說自己是上帝所膏立者，是王。』

人辱罵你們，逼迫你們，憑空虛造說出各樣壞話毁謗你們；為了我的緣故、你們是有福的。
