诡诈的舌头啊，耶和华会给你什么呢？他会加给你什么呢？

因为我实在是从希伯来人之地被拐来的，就是在这里我也没做过什么事，致使他们把我关在这地牢里。”

掩盖仇恨的，有撒谎的嘴；传出谣言的，是愚昧的人。

这是因仇敌的声音、因恶人压迫的缘故；是的，他们使坏事落在我身上，并在怒气中逼迫我。

任何为攻击你而造的武器，都必不奏效；任何在审判时起来用舌头攻击你的，都必被你定罪。以上是耶和华仆人们的继业，他们的公义从我而来。”这是耶和华的宣告。

藉着荣耀和羞辱，藉着坏名声和好名声；像是迷惑人的，却是真诚的；

然而，即使你们为义受苦，也是蒙福的。不要怕他们所惧怕的，也不要惊慌不安，只要你们心里尊主基督为圣，无论谁要你们对你们里面的盼望做个交代，你们都要随时预备好答复他；不过要以温柔、敬畏的心答复，并且持守无愧的良心，以致谁诋毁你们在基督里的良好品行，谁就要在你们受到诽谤的事上蒙羞。要知道，即使神的旨意要你们因行善而受苦，也比因作恶而受苦更好，因为基督也曾一次为了赎罪而受苦，就是义的代替不义的，为要把你们带到神的面前。照着肉身说，基督固然被处死了；但照着灵说，他却得以复活了。

残暴的见证人起来，质问我不知道的事。

你们如果因基督的名受责骂，就是蒙福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，住在你们身上。你们当中不可有人因杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦；但如果有人因为是基督徒而受苦，他不应该感到羞耻，反要奉这名来荣耀神；因为时候到了，审判要从神的家开始。如果先从我们开始，那么，那些不肯信从神福音的人会有什么样的结局呢？“如果连义人都好不容易得救，那么，不敬神的人和罪人将会怎么样呢？”因此，那些照着神的旨意受苦的人，要藉着行善把自己的灵魂交托给那位信实的造物主。

就是说，如果你们因犯罪受责打而忍耐，有什么可称赞的呢？但如果你们因行善受苦害而忍耐，这在神看来是可称赞的。

当时，祭司长们和全议会的人为了要处死耶稣，都在寻找伪证来控告他。

闪也生了儿子；闪是希伯所有子孙的祖先，是雅弗的哥哥。

有一个逃脱的人来告诉希伯来人亚伯兰，那时他正居住在亚摩利人幔利的橡树那里；幔利是以实革和亚乃的兄弟，他们是亚伯兰的盟友。

也用这些话对他说：“你带给我们的那个希伯来奴仆，到我这里来要戏弄我。

这些事以后，约瑟主人的妻子看上了约瑟，对他说：“与我同睡吧！”

“你们这些认识公义、把我的律法存在心里的子民哪，要听我的话！你们不要害怕人的辱骂，也不要因他们的毁谤而丧胆。

开始控告耶稣，说：“我们发现这个人在败坏我们的同胞，阻止纳税给凯撒，还自称是基督、是王。”

“当人们因我的缘故责骂你们、逼迫你们、用各种捏造出来的恶事毁谤你们的时候，你们就是蒙福的。
