詭詐之徒啊！你會受到怎樣的懲罰呢？你會有什麼下場呢？

我是從希伯來人那裡被拐來的，無辜被囚在監。」

暗藏仇恨的滿口虛謊，散佈流言的愚不可及。

仇敵向我咆哮，惡人迫害我。他們帶給我苦難，怒氣沖沖地辱罵我。

你這聲名狼藉、混亂不堪的城將要受到遠近各國的恥笑。

為攻擊你而造的兵器必不能奏效，你必駁倒控告你的人。這是耶和華眾僕人的產業，是我給他們的勝利。這是耶和華說的。」

無論是得榮耀還是受羞辱，遭毀謗還是得稱讚，都顯明自己是上帝的僕人。我們被視為騙子，卻是誠實無偽；

就算你們為義受苦，也是有福的。不要害怕別人的恐嚇，也不要驚慌，要心裡尊基督為主。如果有人問起你們心中的盼望，你們要隨時準備答覆，但態度要溫和恭敬，存無愧的良心。這樣，那些對你們因信基督而有的好品行妄加誣衊的人會自覺羞愧。如果上帝的旨意是要你們因行善而受苦，這也總比你們因作惡而受苦強。因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，以無罪之身代替不義之人，為要領你們到上帝面前。祂的肉體雖被處死，但祂藉著聖靈復活了。

惡人誣告我，盤問我毫無所知的事情。

如果你們為基督的緣故受辱駡，就有福了！因為上帝榮耀的靈常住在你們身上。你們誰也不可因殺人、偷盜、作惡或管閒事而受苦。若是為了作基督徒而受苦，不要覺得羞恥，要因這身分歸榮耀給上帝。因為時候到了，審判要先從上帝的家開始。如果審判要從我們開始，那些不信從上帝福音的人會有怎樣的結局呢？如果義人得救尚且不易，不敬虔的人和罪人會有什麼下場呢？所以，照上帝旨意受苦的人要繼續專心行善，將自己的靈魂交託給那位信實的造物主。

如果你們犯罪受責打，能夠忍受得住，有什麼功勞呢？但如果你們因行善而受苦，還能忍受，就是上帝所喜悅的。

祭司長和全公會的人正在尋找假證據來控告耶穌，好定祂死罪。

雅弗的哥哥閃是希伯子孫的祖先。

有一個逃出來的人把這件事情告訴了希伯來人亞伯蘭。那時，亞伯蘭住在亞摩利人幔利的橡樹那裡。幔利是以實各和亞乃的兄弟，三人都是亞伯蘭的盟友。

就對他說：「你帶回來的那個希伯來人進來要戲弄我，

後來，波提乏的妻子看中了約瑟，向他眉目傳情，要引誘他上床。

認識公義、銘記我訓誨的人啊，聽我說。你們不要害怕人的辱罵，也不要畏懼他們的譭謗。

指控祂說：「這人蠱惑民心，禁止百姓向凱撒納稅，又說自己是基督，是君王。」

「人們因為我的緣故侮辱、迫害、肆意毀謗你們，你們就有福了。
