猶大承認說：『她理直、我輸她，因為我沒有將她給了我的兒子示拉』；從此猶大就不再和她同房了。

Judah recognized them and said,“ She is more righteous than I, since I wouldn’t give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not sleep with her again.

Judah recognized them. He said,“ She’s a better person than I am. I should have given her to my son Shelah, but I didn’t.” Judah never slept with Tamar again.

Then Judah identified them and said,“ She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not know her again.

對大衛說：『你比我正義；你以善報我，我卻以惡報你。

不再順着人的私慾，乃順着上帝的旨意，來度肉身上剩餘的時光。在過去的時光，你們作出外國人所執意作的，行於邪蕩、私慾、沉醉、荒宴、狂飲、和違例可憎之偶像崇拜、已經夠了。

上帝的恩、給全人類施拯救的、已經顯現，正教督我們棄絕不虔的心和屬世的私慾，在現今世按克己正義和敬虔而生活，

大衛王來到耶路撒冷自己家裏，就把那十個女人、就是從前他留下來看家的妃嬪、放在看守所裏；供養她們，卻不進去找她們。她們就這樣被監禁去守活寡、直到死的日子。

大衛看見了那擊殺人民的天使，就對永恆主說道：『是我犯了罪了；我作了孽了；這些羣羊作了甚麼呢？但願你的手攻擊我和我父的家好啦。』

『有誰對上帝說過：「我擔受了責罰，我不再有敗壞的行為了。我所看不明的、求你指教我；我若作了孽，我必不再作」。

我說了一次，再不回答；說了兩次，就不再說。』

結出與悔改相應的果子來吧！

我們曉得、律法無論說甚麼，都是向律法以內的人講的，好堵住每一個人的口，使全世界的人都伏在上帝審判之下；

他們聽了，就一個一個地出去，從老的起；只留下耶穌一人，而那婦人在當中。

他瑪見示拉已經長大，公公還沒有將她給示拉為妻，就脫去做寡婦的衣服，用面帕蒙着臉，拿披服包圍身體，坐在亭拿路上、伊拿印的出入口。

你眼目清潔不看壞事，你是不能逕看着毒害舉動而不理的！為甚麼你逕看着詭詐不忠的人而不理？惡人吞滅了比自己正義的、你為甚麼靜默不動？

他認得，就說：『我兒的褂子呀！惡獸把他喫了；約瑟一定被撕碎了，撕碎了。』

黑夜已深，白晝已近；所以我們要脫去黑暗之行為，穿上亮光之軍裝。

亞當和妻子夏娃同房，夏娃就懷孕，生了該隱，便說：『由於永恆主的庇佑我得了一個男兒』；

你既判定你姐妹比較罪輕，那麼你，你也就要擔受你自己的羞辱啊；因為你犯的罪比她們的更可厭惡，她們比你更顯得罪輕，那麼你，你也就要擔受你自己的羞辱了。

人就為押沙龍在房頂上搭了洞房；押沙龍便在以色列眾人眼前和他父親的妃嬪同床。

但現在禍患臨到了你，你竟耐不住；觸害着你，你竟然驚惶。
