The boundary circled west of Baalah to Mount Seir, passed along to the town of Kesalon on the northern slope of Mount Jearim, and went down to Beth shemesh and on to Timnah.

And King David, now reconciled to Amnon’s death, longed to be reunited with his son Absalom.

So Absalom prepared a feast fit for a king.Absalom told his men,“ Wait until Amnon gets drunk; then at my signal, kill him! Don’t be afraid. I’m the one who has given the command. Take courage and do it!”So at Absalom’s signal they murdered Amnon. Then the other sons of the king jumped on their mules and fled.

When David heard that Nabal was shearing his sheep,he sent ten of his young men to Carmel with this message for Nabal:“ Peace and prosperity to you, your family, and everything you own!I am told that it is sheep shearing time. While your shepherds stayed among us near Carmel, we never harmed them, and nothing was ever stolen from them.Ask your own men, and they will tell you this is true.
