Then he had another dream, and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said.“ I had another dream. The sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then Joseph had another dream. He told it to his brothers.“ Listen,” he said.“ I had another dream. This time the sun and moon and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said,“ Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Soon Joseph had another dream, and again he told his brothers about it.“ Listen, I have had another dream,” he said.“ The sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed low before me!”

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he had yet another dream, and informed his brothers of it, and said,“ Behold, I have had yet another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

Then he dreamed still another dream and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Look, I have dreamed another dream. And this time, the sun, the moon, and the eleven stars bowed down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed yet a dream; and, behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.”

The patriarchs, because they were jealous of Joseph, sold him into Egypt. But God was with him,and rescued him from all his troubles, and granted him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him ruler over Egypt and over all his household.Then a famine occurred throughout Egypt and Canaan, causing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food.So when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our ancestors there the first time.On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers again, and Joseph’s family became known to Pharaoh.So Joseph sent a message and invited his father Jacob and all his relatives to come, seventy- five people in all.

So Judah and his brothers came back to Joseph’s house. He was still there, and they threw themselves to the ground before him.

When Joseph’s brothers saw that their father was dead, they said,“ What if Joseph bears a grudge and wants to repay us in full for all the harm we did to him?”So they sent word to Joseph, saying,“ Your father gave these instructions before he died:‘ Tell Joseph this: Please forgive the sin of your brothers and the wrong they did when they treated you so badly.’ Now please forgive the sin of the servants of the God of your father.” When this message was reported to him, Joseph wept.Then his brothers also came and threw themselves down before him; they said,“ Here we are; we are your slaves.”But Joseph answered them,“ Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?As for you, you meant to harm me, but God intended it for a good purpose, so he could preserve the lives of many people, as you can see this day.So now, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your little children.” Then he consoled them and spoke kindly to them.

Now go up to my father quickly and tell him,‘ This is what your son Joseph says:“ God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; do not delay!

There we were, binding sheaves of grain in the middle of the field. Suddenly my sheaf rose up and stood upright and your sheaves surrounded my sheaf and bowed down to it!”

The dream was repeated to Pharaoh because the matter has been decreed by God, and God will make it happen soon.

It grew so big it reached the army of heaven, and it brought about the fall of some of the army and some of the stars to the ground, where it trampled them.

“ Your servant our father is well,” they replied.“ He is still alive.” They bowed down in humility.

Joseph harnessed his chariot and went up to meet his father Israel in Goshen. When he met him, he hugged his neck and wept on his neck for quite some time.

so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world

Then Joseph said to Pharaoh,“ Both dreams of Pharaoh have the same meaning. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do.

Joseph also provided food for his father, his brothers, and all his father’s household, according to the number of their little children.

My lord asked his servants,‘ Do you have a father or a brother?’

When he told his father and his brothers, his father rebuked him, saying,“ What is this dream that you had? Will I, your mother, and your brothers really come and bow down to you?”
