我對他們說：「你們若認為好，就給我工錢，不然就算了。」於是，他們給了我三十塊銀子作工錢。耶和華對我說：「把這一大筆錢丟給窯戶吧，這就是我在他們眼中的價值！」我便把三十塊銀子丟給聖殿中的窯戶。

這就應驗了耶利米先知的話：「他們用以色列人給祂估定的三十塊銀子，

但我有一個要求，請你們把搶來的耳環都給我。」原來米甸人屬於以實瑪利族，都戴金耳環。

米甸和以法的駱駝必成群結隊而來，佈滿你的地面；示巴人必帶著黃金和乳香來頌讚耶和華。

被殺的米甸女子名叫哥斯比，她父親蘇珥是米甸人的一個族長。

以色列人對基甸說：「你從米甸人手中救了我們，請你和你的子孫統治我們。」

求你對付他們，如同對付米甸人和基順河邊的西西拉與耶賓。
