Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

犹大对他的众弟兄说：“我们杀死弟弟、掩盖罪行有什么益处呢？

犹大对他的众兄弟说：“我们杀了我们的兄弟，把他的血隐藏起来，究竟有什么益处呢？

犹大对他的兄弟们说：“如果我们杀了自己的兄弟，掩盖他的血，有什么好处呢？

猶大對眾弟兄說：「我們殺我們的兄弟，藏了他的血有甚麼益處呢？

猶大對他的兄弟們說：「我們殺我們的弟弟，遮掩他的血有甚麼好處呢？

猶大對他的兄弟們說：「我們殺我們的弟弟，遮掩他的血有甚麼好處呢？

猶大對他的眾弟兄說：「我們殺死弟弟、掩蓋罪行有什麼益處呢？

猶大對他的眾兄弟說：“我們殺了我們的兄弟，把他的血隱藏起來，究竟有甚麼益處呢？

猶大對弟兄們說：『我們殺了我們的兄弟，把他的血掩蓋了，有甚麼益處呢？

猶大對他的兄弟們說：「如果我們殺了自己的兄弟，掩蓋他的血，有什麼好處呢？

猶大謂兄弟曰、殺弟而匿其血、何益之有、

猶大謂諸兄曰、殺弟而匿其血、何益之有、此乃我手足之親、毋戕其生。

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain if we kill our brother and try to cover up what we’ve done?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime.

Judah said to his brothers,“ What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

And Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it for us to kill our brother and cover up his blood?

So Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother and conceal his blood?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit[ is it] if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is there if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say,‘ An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

Yahweh said,“ What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries to me from the ground.

“ Earth, don’t cover my blood. Let my cry have no place to rest.

David said to him,“ Your blood be on your head; for your mouth has testified against you, saying,‘ I have slain Yahweh’s anointed.’”

“‘“ For her blood is in the middle of her. She set it on the bare rock. She didn’t pour it on the ground, to cover it with dust.

Esau said,“ Behold, I am about to die. What good is the birthright to me?”

If there arises a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise, and go up to the place which Yahweh your God chooses.

For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?

What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.

“ What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth?

But ten men were found among those who said to Ishmael,“ Don’t kill us; for we have stores hidden in the field, of wheat, and of barley, and of oil, and of honey.” So he stopped, and didn’t kill them among their brothers.
