So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe— the ornate robe he was wearing—

他們拿來約瑟的袍子，宰殺了一隻公山羊，把袍子浸了血；然後派人把彩色的袍子帶到他們父親那裡，說：「我們找到了這個，請你認一認，是不是你兒子的袍子？」雅各認出了那袍子，就說：「這是我兒子的袍子。惡獸把他吃掉了；約瑟一定被撕成碎片了！」

他們剝下耶穌的衣服，給他套上一件深紅色的袍子，

他們彼此瓜分我的衣服，又為我的衣裳抽籤。
