主諭雅各曰、爾歸祖父之地、返爾宗族、我必祐爾、

爾經水中、我護爾、爾涉江河、水不沖沒、爾行火中、必不被燒、烈焰不焚爾、

雅各恐懼悚惶、以從者及牛羊與駝、分為二隊、

倘吾祖父之天主、即亞伯拉罕之天主以撒所畏之天主不祐我、爾則使我徒手而去、天主鑒我之辛苦劬勞、故昨宵責爾、

爾無論行何道、當思念主、則主必使爾道途平直、

雅各獨留、有一人與之角力、至於黎明、

爾無論何往、我必祐爾護爾、使爾歸斯地、不遐棄爾、我所許爾者、必踐其言、

惟爾居郇與居耶路撒冷之民、不復哭泣、爾以聲呼籲主、主必賜恩於爾、主聞之即應爾、

所以我必進主之殿供獻火焚祭、在主前酬我之願、即我在急難時、啟口唇而許之願、

夢有梯置於地、梯首及天、天主之使者陟降於上、主立於梯上、或作立於其側曰、我乃耶和華、即爾祖亞伯拉罕之天主、與以撒之天主、爾所臥之地、悉以賜爾及爾後裔、

天主護庇我儕、賜力於我儕、當患難時、極顯救濟、

主歟、我乃主之僕人、乃主婢女之子、主曾解釋縛我之索、我必將感謝祭獻於主、禱告主名、我在主之眾民前、向主酬我所許之願、即在主殿之院內、在耶路撒冷城中、阿勒盧亞、

雅各許願曰、如天主在我所行之路眷祐我、庇護我、賜我衣食、使我安然歸父家、則我敬主為我之天主、我所立為柱之石、將為天主室、凡主所賜我者、必十輸其一獻於主、

我心當讚美主、我臟腑當讚美主名、我心當讚美主、勿忘主一切恩惠、主赦免我一切罪愆、醫治我一切疾病、救贖我命、免於阬坎、以恩寵慈愛為冠冕、加於我首、使我口飽餐美食、使我如鷹老而復少、

如此之人、當稱頌主之恩惠、將主之奇事、傳述於人、

其祈求我、我必應允、遭難之時、我必保祐之、拯救之、使之尊貴、

爾曹當為我啟道義之門、我將由其中而進、稱頌主、此乃主之門、惟善人方得由此而進、主歟、我必稱頌主、因主應允我、拯救我、匠人所棄之石、反成為屋隅之首石、
