他們心裏正暢快的時候，忽有城裏的人一些無賴子、把房子圍住，連連敲門，對房主老人說：『把進你家那個人帶出來，我們要和他交合。』那房主人出來見他們，對他們說：『弟兄們，千萬不可，請別作壞事；這人既進了我家，你們就不可行這醜事。看哪，有我的女兒、還是處女，並有這人的妾；我這就將她們領出來，讓你們玷辱她們；你們看怎麼好、就怎麼作好啦；對這人呢、你們卻不可行這醜事。』那些人卻不情願聽他；那人就把妾抓住，推出外邊去給他們；他們便和她交合，終夜作弄她、直到早晨、日色昇現的時候、才放她走。

但你們呢、你們乃是蒙揀選的族類，是王家的祭司班，是聖別的邦國，是子民做上帝產業的，要叫你們宣揚那召了你們出黑暗而進入他奇妙之光者的神德。

永恆主啊，你的法度極為確定；你的殿宜稱為聖、日久月長。

至於淫亂和一切污穢或貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可提，才合乎聖徒的身分。

同時她們還習於懶惰，挨家閒遊；不但懶惰，而且說長道短，好管閒事，說不該說的話。

你們務要逃避淫亂。人所犯的各樣罪過、無論是甚麼、都在身體以外；惟獨淫亂的、乃是犯罪害了自己的身體。

我們也不要淫亂，像他們有人淫亂，一天就倒斃了二萬三千人！

如今你們若留心聽我的聲音，守我的約，你們就可以在萬族之民中做屬我的產業，因為全地都是我的。你們要歸我做祭司之國，做聖別之邦」：這些話是你所應當對以色列人說的。』

『你要告訴以色列人說：若有人在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上、誤犯了罪、去行其一件；

所以你們要看這在地上的肢體為死了的：就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、和貪婪、（就是一種的拜偶像）。

見愚蠢人之內、男子之中、分明有一個全無心思的少年人，

大衛王聽見這一切事，就非常惱怒，卻沒有使他兒子暗嫩的心傷痛，因為他愛他是自己的長子。

雅各把兒子和孫子、女兒和孫女，以及他所有的後裔都帶到埃及去。

『若是以色列全會眾在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上作錯了事、去行其一件，以致有了罪責，而那件事又是隱藏着而大眾的眼看不出來的；

祝頌和咒詛都從同一個口裏出來：我的弟兄們，這是不該這樣的。
