他們心裏正歡暢的時候，城中的匪徒圍住房子，連連叩門，對房主老人說：「你把那進你家的人帶出來，我們要與他交合。」那房主出來對他們說：「弟兄們哪，不要這樣作惡；這人既然進了我的家，你們就不要行這醜事。我有個女兒，還是處女，並有這人的妾，我將她們領出來任憑你們玷辱她們，只是向這人不可行這樣的醜事。」那些人卻不聽從他的話。那人就把他的妾拉出去交給他們，他們便與她交合，終夜凌辱她，直到天色快亮才放她去。

惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

耶和華啊，你的法度最的確；你的殿永稱為聖，是合宜的。

至於淫亂並一切污穢，或是貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可，方合聖徒的體統。

並且她們又習慣懶惰，挨家閒遊；不但是懶惰，又說長道短，好管閒事，說些不當說的話。

你們要逃避淫行。人所犯的，無論甚麼罪，都在身子以外，惟有行淫的，是得罪自己的身子。

我們也不要行姦淫，像他們有人行的，一天就倒斃了二萬三千人；

如今你們若實在聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就要在萬民中作屬我的子民，因為全地都是我的。你們要歸我作祭司的國度，為聖潔的國民。』這些話你要告訴以色列人。」

「你曉諭以色列人說：若有人在耶和華所吩咐不可行的甚麼事上誤犯了一件，

所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。

見愚蒙人內，少年人中，分明有一個無知的少年人，

大衛王聽見這事，就甚發怒。

「以色列全會眾若行了耶和華所吩咐不可行的甚麼事，誤犯了罪，是隱而未現、會眾看不出來的，

頌讚和咒詛從一個口裏出來！我的弟兄們，這是不應當的！
