“以色列的女子中不可有廟妓，以色列的男子中不可有男廟妓。

他們心裡正暢快的時候，忽然城裡有些無賴之徒，圍繞房子，不住地敲門，對老房主說：“把進入你家的那個人帶出來，我們要與他交合。”那房主出來見他們，對他們說：“我的眾兄弟啊，不可這樣，請你們不要作惡；這人既然進了我的家，你們就不要作這羞恥的事。這裡有我的女兒，還是處女，並且有這人的妾，我把她們領出來，讓你們污辱她們；你們看怎樣好，就怎樣待她們吧。只是對這個人，你們卻不要作這羞恥的事。”那些人卻不肯聽從他的話，那人就抓住自己的妾，拉出外邊去交給他們，他們就與她交合，整夜污辱她；直到早晨，天色破曉的時候，才放她走。

然而你們是蒙揀選的族類，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國民，是屬神的子民，為要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

耶和華啊！你的法度極為確定；你的殿永遠被稱為聖是合宜的。

至於淫亂和任何污穢或貪心的事，在你們中間連提都不可提，才合聖徒的體統。

同時，她們懶惰慣了，挨家閒遊；不但懶惰，而且好說閒話，好管閒事，說不該說的話。

你們要逃避淫亂的事。人所犯的，無論是甚麼罪，都是在身體以外，唯有行淫亂的，是觸犯自己的身體。

我們也不可淫亂，像他們有些人那樣，一天就死了二萬三千人。

現在你們若是實在聽我的話，遵守我的約，你們就必在萬民中作屬我的產業，因為全地都是我的。你們要歸我作君尊的祭司和聖潔的國民。’這些話你都要對以色列人說。”

“你要告訴以色列人說：如果有人在耶和華吩咐不可行的事上無意犯了罪，他必須遵行以下條例中的一樣：

所以要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像。

看見在愚蒙人中間，在少年人（“少年人”原文作“眾子”）裡面，我發覺有一個無知的少年人，

大衛王聽見了這一切事，就非常生氣。

“如果以色列全體會眾無意犯罪，是隱而未現、會眾看不出來的，但他們行了一件耶和華吩咐不可行的事，他們就有罪。

同一張嘴竟然又稱頌主，又咒詛人；我的弟兄們，這是不應該的！
