因為外表是猶太人的不是真猶太人；外表肉身的割禮也不是真割禮。惟有內心作猶太人的才是真猶太人，真割禮也是心裏的，在乎聖靈，不在乎儀文。這樣的人所受的稱讚不是從人來的，而是從上帝來的。

在那一天，亞伯拉罕遵照上帝所說的，給他的兒子以實瑪利和家裏所有的男丁，無論是在家裏生的，或是用銀子買來的，都行了割禮。

受割禮算不了甚麼，不受割禮也算不了甚麼，只要謹守上帝的誡命就是了。

在所有出入城門的赫人眼前，賣給亞伯拉罕作為他的產業。
