So Esau said,“ What do you mean by this whole procession I met?”“ To find favor with you, my lord,” he answered.

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些群畜是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是要在我主面前蒙恩的。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些畜群是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了要在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这些畜群是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了要在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以扫说：“我在路上遇见的那一群群牲畜是怎么回事？”雅各回答说：“我带来这些是要得到我主的恩待。”

以扫又问：“我遇见的这一群牲畜，是什么意思呢？”雅各回答：“是要讨我主喜悦的。”

以扫说：“我所遇见的这一整队，是什么意思呢？”雅各说：“是为了在我主眼前蒙恩。”

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些羣畜是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是要在我主面前蒙恩的。」

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些畜羣是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了要在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃說：「我所遇見的這些畜羣是甚麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了要在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃說：「我在路上遇見的那一群群牲畜是怎麼回事？」雅各回答說：「我帶來這些是要得到我主的恩待。」

以掃又問：“我遇見的這一群牲畜，是甚麼意思呢？”雅各回答：“是要討我主喜悅的。”

以掃說：『我所遇見的這一整隊的牲畜，是甚麼意思啊？』雅各說：『是要求我主賞臉的。』

以掃說：「我所遇見的這一整隊，是什麼意思呢？」雅各說：「是為了在我主眼前蒙恩。」

以掃曰、我所遇之羣畜何意、曰、望沾恩於主、

以掃曰、適見群畜、不知何意。曰、望沾恩於主。

以掃曰、我所遇之群畜、爾何意、曰、欲蒙我主之恩、奉於我主、原文作欲獲恩於主前

Esau asked,“ What’s the meaning of all these flocks and herds I met?”“ To find favor in your eyes, my lord,” he said.

Esau asked,“ Why did you send all those herds I saw?”“ I hoped I could do something to please you,” Jacob replied.

Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company that I met?” Jacob answered,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

“ And what were all the flocks and herds I met as I came?” Esau asked. Jacob replied,“ They are a gift, my lord, to ensure your friendship.”

And he said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I have met?” And he said,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

Then Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I met?” And he said,“ These are to find favor in the sight of my Lord.”

And he said, What meanest thou by all this company which I met? And he said, To find favor in the sight of my lord.

So Esau said,“ What do you mean by this whole procession I met?”“ To find favor with you, my lord,” he answered.

And he said, What[ meanest] thou by all this drove which I met? And he said,[ These are] to find grace in the sight of my lord.

Esau then asked,“ What did you intend by sending all these herds to meet me?” Jacob replied,“ To find favor in your sight, my lord.”

Esau said,“ What do you mean by all this company which I met?” Jacob said,“ To find favor in the sight of my lord.”

I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, and male and female slaves. I have sent this message to inform my lord, in order to seek your favor.’”

The king loved Esther more than all the other women. She won more favor and approval from him than did any of the other virgins. He placed the royal crown on her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.

From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The LORD’s blessing was on all that he owned, in his house and in his fields.

He spent the night there and took part of what he had brought with him as a gift for his brother Esau:two hundred female goats, twenty male goats, two hundred ewes, twenty rams,thirty milk camels with their young, forty cows, ten bulls, twenty female donkeys, and ten male donkeys.He entrusted them to his slaves as separate herds and said to them,“ Go on ahead of me, and leave some distance between the herds.”And he told the first one,“ When my brother Esau meets you and asks,‘ Who do you belong to? Where are you going? And whose animals are these ahead of you?’then tell him,‘ They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift sent to my lord Esau. And look, he is behind us.’”He also told the second one, the third, and everyone who was walking behind the animals,“ Say the same thing to Esau when you find him.You are also to say,‘ Look, your servant Jacob is right behind us.’” For he thought,“ I want to appease Esau with the gift that is going ahead of me. After that, I can face him, and perhaps he will forgive me.”
