調劑乎身者其益少、敬虔乎主者其益大、今生來生、皆許有福、

故吾以為當請兄弟先至爾處、將前所言之金、預備以待、以明樂助、非出勉強、余嘗曰、少稼少穡、多稼多穡、

我言此、非不足故也、以我之學、不論所遇、莫不自得、我知所以處貧賤、亦知所以處富厚、隨事隨在、諳練久矣、可飽可饑、可豐可歉、

是夜雅各宿於彼、簡所有者饋其兄以掃以為禮。山羊牝二百、牡二十、綿羊牝二百、牡二十、牝駝與子三十、牝牛四十、牡牛十、牝驢二十、小驢十。遂別為群、付與僕手、曰、爾往前途、使各群相距、皆有隙地、囑其前者曰、若我兄以掃遇爾、問爾為誰牧、將往何地、此畜果誰所有乎、則當言此乃禮物、爾僕雅各饋吾主以掃者、雅各在後將至。再遣之僕、三遣之僕、及凡驅群畜者囑之云、若遇以掃、當亦如是以言。必曰、爾僕雅各在後將至。蓋雅各自謂必以前行之禮物、使兄復和、然後覿面、庶幾接我。

且生息繁多、牲畜奴婢駝驢、不可悉數、

曰、我所有者足矣、弟所有者存之。

然則何可言耶、若上帝祐我、誰能敵我、不惜己子、為我眾捨之、豈不以萬物並賜我歟、

大闢至息臘、以所得之物、饋猶大長老、即己之良朋、曰、耶和華之敵、其物為我所得、故奉於爾。
