他们在危难中呼求耶和华，祂就拯救他们脱离困境，

耶稣答道：“你们的信心太小了，为什么害怕呢？”于是祂起来斥责风和浪，风浪就完全平静了。

其实凡立志在基督耶稣里过敬虔生活的人都会受到迫害。

求你救我脱离我哥哥以扫的手，我怕他会来杀我和我的妻儿。

慷慨借贷，行事公正的人必亨通。

以色列人看见法老大军追了上来，非常害怕，便呼求耶和华。

我心里沮丧之时，从地极呼求你，求你领我到高高的磐石上。

我听见许多人毁谤我，惊恐笼罩着我。他们图谋不轨，谋害我的性命。

弟兄姊妹，希望你们知道我们在亚细亚所遭遇的苦难。那时我们承受极大的压力，超过了我们的极限，甚至连活命的指望都没了。我们心里觉得必死无疑，这使我们不倚靠自己，只倚靠使死人复活的上帝。祂曾救我们脱离死亡的威胁，将来还要救我们。我们深信祂必继续救我们。

坚固各地门徒的信心，鼓励他们要持守信仰，并且说：“我们在进入上帝国的道路上必经历许多苦难。”

因为上帝指点他，教导他耕种之道。

明辨力必护佑你，悟性必看顾你。

我们遭遇任何患难，祂都安慰我们，使我们能够用祂给我们的安慰去安慰那些在各样患难中的人。

看看我左右，无人关心我；我走投无路，无人眷顾我。

我把这些事告诉你们，是要叫你们在我里面有平安。你们在世上会有苦难，但你们要放心，我已经胜过这个世界。”

我内心悲痛，被死亡的恐怖笼罩。我浑身颤栗，惊恐不已。
