When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.

The man saw that he couldn’t win. So he touched the inside of Jacob’s hip. As Jacob wrestled with the man, Jacob’s hip was twisted.

When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him.

When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket.

When the man saw that he could not defeat him, he struck Jacob’s hip socket as they wrestled and dislocated his hip.

因此，以色列人不吃大腿窩的筋，直到今日，因為那人摸了雅各大腿窩的筋。

至於我，我凡事順利，就說：「我永不動搖。」耶和華啊，你曾施恩，使我穩固如山；你轉臉不顧，我就驚惶。

蟲子雅各，以色列人哪，不要害怕！我必幫助你；救贖你的是以色列的聖者。這是耶和華說的。

總要警醒禱告，免得陷入試探。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」

摩西對耶和華說：「埃及人必聽見，因你曾施展大能，領這百姓從他們中間出來。埃及人要告訴這地的居民，他們已經聽見你－耶和華是在這百姓中間，因為你－耶和華面對面顯示自己，你的雲彩停在他們以上。你日間在雲柱中，夜間在火柱中，在他們的前面行。

有一個迦南婦人從那地方出來，喊着說：「主啊，大衛之子，可憐我！我女兒被鬼纏得很苦。」耶穌卻一言不答。門徒進前來，求他說：「這婦人在我們後頭喊叫，請打發她走吧。」耶穌回答：「我奉差遣只到以色列家迷失的羊那裏去。」那婦人來拜他，說：「主啊，幫幫我！」他回答：「拿孩子的餅丟給小狗吃是不妥的。」婦人說：「主啊，不錯，可是小狗也吃牠主人桌上掉下來的碎屑。」於是耶穌回答她說：「婦人，你的信心很大！照你所要的成全你吧。」從那時起，她的女兒就好了。

你要趕快逃到那城，因為你還沒有到那裏，我不能做甚麼。」因此那城名叫瑣珥。

耶和華－以色列的聖者，就是造以色列的如此說：「難道我孩子的未來，你們能質問我，我手的工作，你們可以吩咐我嗎？

耶穌又離開他們，第三次去禱告，說的話跟先前一樣。

耶穌又對他們說：「你們中間誰有一個朋友半夜到他那裏去，對他說：『朋友！請借給我三個餅；因為我有一個朋友旅途中來到我這裏，我沒有東西招待他。』那人在裏面回答：『不要打擾我，門已經關了，孩子們也同我在床上了，我不能起來給你。』我告訴你們，雖不因他是朋友起來給他，也會因他不顧面子地直求，起來照他所需要的給他。
