When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.

The man saw that he couldn’t win. So he touched the inside of Jacob’s hip. As Jacob wrestled with the man, Jacob’s hip was twisted.

When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he touched his hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him.

When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket.

When the man saw that he could not defeat him, he struck Jacob’s hip socket as they wrestled and dislocated his hip.

故此，以色列人不吃大腿窩的筋，直到今日，因為那人摸了雅各大腿窩的筋。

至於我，我凡事平順，便說：我永不動搖。耶和華啊，你曾施恩，叫我的江山穩固；你掩了面，我就驚惶。

你這蟲雅各和你們以色列人，不要害怕！耶和華說：我必幫助你。你的救贖主就是以色列的聖者。

總要警醒禱告，免得入了迷惑。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」

摩西對耶和華說：「埃及人必聽見這事；因為你曾施展大能，將這百姓從他們中間領上來。埃及人要將這事傳給迦南地的居民；那民已經聽見你－耶和華是在這百姓中間；因為你面對面被人看見，有你的雲彩停在他們以上。你日間在雲柱中，夜間在火柱中，在他們前面行。

有一個迦南婦人，從那地方出來，喊着說：「主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我！我女兒被鬼附得甚苦。」耶穌卻一言不答。門徒進前來，求他說：「這婦人在我們後頭喊叫，請打發她走吧。」耶穌說：「我奉差遣不過是到以色列家迷失的羊那裏去。」那婦人來拜他，說：「主啊，幫助我！」他回答說：「不好拿兒女的餅丟給狗吃。」婦人說：「主啊，不錯；但是狗也吃牠主人桌子上掉下來的碎渣兒。」耶穌說：「婦人，你的信心是大的！照你所要的，給你成全了吧。」從那時候，她女兒就好了。

你要速速地逃到那城；因為你還沒有到那裏，我不能做甚麼。」因此那城名叫瑣珥。

耶和華－以色列的聖者，就是造就以色列的如此說：將來的事，你們可以問我；至於我的眾子，並我手的工作，你們可以求我命定。

耶穌又離開他們去了。第三次禱告，說的話還是與先前一樣。

耶穌又說：「你們中間誰有一個朋友半夜到他那裏去，說：『朋友！請借給我三個餅；因為我有一個朋友行路，來到我這裏，我沒有甚麼給他擺上。』那人在裏面回答說：『不要攪擾我，門已經關閉，孩子們也同我在牀上了，我不能起來給你。』我告訴你們，雖不因他是朋友起來給他，但因他情詞迫切地直求，就必起來照他所需用的給他。
