屆期謂拉班曰、其期已屆、盍妻我、使我成禮。拉班招集鄰里、肆筵設席、既昏、以長女利亞與雅各成伉儷。以婢悉帕與女利亞、供其役事。夙興、乃知為利亞、謂拉班曰、曷待我若是、我非為拉結、以役事爾乎、何欺我為。拉班曰、未嫁長而先嫁季、於斯土有所不宜。當與利亞盈其七日之期、則以拉結予爾嗣後爾必役事我、更歷七年。雅各從其言、與利亞盈其七日之期、後拉班亦以拉結妻之。以婢辟拉與女拉結、供其役事。雅各亦與拉結成禮、愛之過於利亞、仍為拉班役事、更歷七年。○耶和華知利亞不見寵、故賜生育、惟拉結不妊。利亞懷妊生子、命名流便、曰、耶和華俯念我苦、今而後、夫必愛我。再妊生子、命名西面、曰、耶和華聞我不見寵、復賜我此子。又妊生子、命名利未、曰、今生三子、夫必膠膝於我。又妊生子、命名猶大、曰、我今必頌美耶和華、嗣後利亞久不妊。拉結見己不育、則妒厥姊、謂雅各曰、賜我生子、不然我死矣。雅各怒曰、使爾不育者、在上帝、豈在我乎。曰、我婢辟拉可與同室、彼生之、我撫之、我因以得子。遂以婢辟拉予夫同室。辟拉懷妊生子。拉結命名但、曰、上帝祐我、聽我祈、賜我一子、辟拉再妊生子、拉結命名納大利、曰、我與姊力爭得利。利亞久不妊、以婢悉帕與夫同室。悉帕生子、利亞命名伽得、曰、幸甚。悉帕再生子、利亞命名亞設、曰、我蒙福祉、群女將謂我有福。○麥秋至、流便往於田、獲風茄、奉母利亞、拉結謂利亞曰、請以爾子之風茄與我。曰、爾奪我寵、豈微故耶、今欲奪我子之風茄乎。拉結曰、為汝子之風茄、是夜可與夫偕寢。暮雅各自田歸、利亞出迓之、曰、爾與我偕入室、我舍我子之風茄、以得爾、故是夜與之同室、上帝俯念利亞、賜之懷妊、生五子、利亞命名以薩迦、曰、昔以婢與夫、今蒙上帝給我值。利亞復妊生六子、命名西布倫、曰、上帝賜我嘉賚、我生六子、夫必偕我。後生女、命名底拿、○上帝眷念拉結、俯聽其祈、使之誕育、懷妊生子、曰、上帝已洒我恥矣。乃命名約瑟、曰、耶和華必復賜子。
