求你留心聽我的呼聲，因為我極其衰微；求你解救我脫離追逼我的人，因為他們比我強大。

如果真被扔進火窯中，我們所事奉的神也能從烈火燃燒的窯中拯救我們；王啊，他必從你的手中拯救我們！

求你救贖我脫離人的欺壓，好讓我遵守你的訓誡。

以掃因父親祝福了雅各，就怨恨雅各。以掃對自己說：「為父親舉哀的日子臨近了，之後我就要殺死弟弟雅各。」
